@dimebag667: I agree with that point (too easy to get resources), but that's a problem in most games, unfortunatly. That's why i play everything on hard or survival, since those modes generaly make resources less common.

As for pacing, i like to take my time exploring, learning lore, watching vistas,, taking pics, etc. That's why i love No Man's Sky, a game many consider to be the most boring game ever.

I couldn't get into the slow-pace of the game, but there's no denying that it is far more than a tech demo. Rockstar deserve a lot of credit with what they managed.

Not a tech demo. But compared to something like Doom, it’s def more designed to passively take in, than it is to actively participate.

@PAL360: Exactly. I would much rather people focus on what's wrong with many games and fix that, rather than overlooking it because said game is pretty.

There is no argument from me about the beauty of this game...it's got it. For me it's what you do in the game that isn't fun. Or how you get the illusion of choosing good or bad, but you're really just allowed one option. Why can't we have fun gameplay, actual character choice...and beautiful scenery? I want it all! :)

@dimebag667: Well, perfection doesn't exist :p There are literally hundreds of modern games i simply love, from indies to AAAs, though. We should indeed point the negatives in a constructive way, but should also praise what deserves to be praised.

@PAL360: I totally agree with you, and that's why I praise the visuals and it's level of detail to the world. But where it falls apart for me is the game. I can appreciate it's art no problem, and having an interactive art piece that you can walk through is very cool, but I'm looking for a game...and in that respect I find it extremely lacking. But shouldn't perfection be the target? Of course you'll never reach it, but the aim shouldn't be "eh, good enough."

My problem isn't from people loving the art and/or the relaxing aspects of interacting with said art, its when people overlook the plethora of weaknesses because they're so enthralled with the few good aspects.

It's honestly an incredible game.. you seem to have the attention span of a 12 year old.

A tech demo? At 30 fps it's not. PC on the other hand....
