[QUOTE="mexicangordo"] Finally people are not afraid to be out spoken about "Teh Stracraft 2"
Im one of the few people since the beginning, thought that the Multiplayer was great but the single player Campaign was horrible. Absolutely did not live up to what Blizzard promised everyone. I really hate how the single player has so many awful (yes awful) flaws yet no one cares because of how great the multiplayer is. I find that ridiculous.... especially considering thats the reason why Blizzard split the game into 3 separate games.

What? many people have been outspoken from the start about SC2, where have you been? Every game has its haters and Blizz had no chance of pleasing eveybody. FACT is you are all in the minority, most people love this game, me included. Im a massive Relic fan too.
SC2 is already a classic, will go down as one of, if not the, greatest RTS games ever and one of the best games this gen. Just deal with it.
it is hte best RTS this gen, but the campaign is dreadful, story wise, it's great, but it's REALLY boring to play through, especially if you play league matches a lot....aaaand HOW many people here play league matches? Yeah, exactly.
i loved starcraft 1.... so naturally i love starcraft 2.... because its the same game.
but i cant help but feel that blizz stole about 40 of the 60 bucks they took from my pocket on this one.
You mean the guy who has been raging when playing against Terran lately? :Pim sure people will figure out how to use the zerg pretty soon. its just that the classical way of playing zergs is not as effective anymore. but sme of the best players right now are zerg. Idra (greg fields) for example

It's the damn protoss that annoy the hell out of me with crap like proxy pylons andvoid ray rushes.im sure people will figure out how to use the zerg pretty soon. its just that the classical way of playing zergs is not as effective anymore. but sme of the best players right now are zerg. Its an amazing game but if you didn't buy it on launch day, then you don't need to buy it now. Wait for the price drop.CRUSHER88
You should buy it whenever you want. The price probably won't drop for a long, long time, considering the popularity of the game.
[QUOTE="farnham"]Except balance (For now) There's no doubt about it though, if you loved SC1, you'll love SC2. Yeah the balance is screwed up beyond belief right now. I hate siege tanks.much better then the first in every way possible

played SC1 back in 1998, hows the 2nd one?flashfall
It's just like the first one... But it's in 3D now and you can play mods right from the menu... I just play the mods all day because there more fun the playing the same old game from 1998.

ummm everyone in multiplayer plays league matches bud...I have made countless posts here talking about how I couldn't care less about PC gaming or PC games. I've never been able to get into RTS.
Having said that, I figured I would give SC2 a chance and I actually love it. It is a fantastic game that does a great job of appealing to the hardcore pros, as well as guiding in new people like myself into both the world and the game mechanics.
Right now there is TONS of people complaining about the lack of proper balance (the human army in the game seems to be overpowered compared to the other races), but the game is only a month old and balance is something you can't just tack on quickly to shut up the complainers.
But it really is a fantastic game and although I have barely played the campaign mode, I'm already looking forward to the expansions which focus on the other races.
Thats why you use your overlord to scout, and prepare for an attack at the very start of the match. I have faced sooo many protoss players and zerg players who are just terrible at scouting or preparing defences. I build up my M/M ball for simple harassment, but I actually win the game....they are too busy teching.JangoWuzHere
If you are building up a quick and early MM ball, then the insanely slow as hell overlord will be dead long before it can see anything in your base. Your marines will destroy the overlord and it will not only NOT see anything, but hurt the zerg supply as well.
The pros have already spoken out that scouting as Zerg against terran is way too difficult. Experienced terran players already know to leave a few marines on the perimeter to kill overlords, and the wall stops everything else. Meanwhile, Terrans get a built it "map hack" known as the scan which they can use to see into the enemy base easy and without killing any units.

This is why i am so bad at RTS online, my favourite genre and im stuck with campaigns lol.
I'm in platinum as random, most of my wins are as Zerg and I feel most comfortable against Terran, especially Tech Terran. I always send a probe to scout at 8food; assume your opponent will be a douche and double-10 barracks you. Magic box mutalisks works wonders against tech.-Feath-
You are platinum and yet don't know the Zerg have drones, not scouts?
While I agree with you in principle, the fact is that the people who play this game professionally are practically unanimous that there is an imbalance, most noticeable between terran and zerg matches. Most pro zerg players are jumping to terran because they are paid to win and can't guarantee results as zerg. Even some of the top terran players in the world admit they have an advantage because their race is imbalanced.
I am at the bottom of the chain in terms of rankings, but the fact is that the pros all pretty much agree. And while you are platinum, I assume you are NOT a professional SC player and therefore they would know better than you.
The experienced Terran players already know when fighting Zerg, build your wall and get a few marines up to take out overlords before they see anyting. Then they can just build up their massive bioball (or cliff drop tanks)and win.

I am probably terrible as well since I'm just learning this genre and have only played friends online so far. Mostly I am practicing and learning against the computer AI, which even then is way different from a human player. And the campaign is more mission driven than when playing online so that is another creature entirely.
It's been an interesting experience so far.
