Nah.

Three-way tie between NES, SNES, and GameBoy

Coincedentally, those are the three systems from Nintendo I've spent the most time with...

Lets add the GBA, GBC, N64, GC and the GB SP to the list. I can't even think of a single main Nintendo system that wasn't better than the Switch. At this point i think TC mixed up "objectively the worst nintendo system" for "best nintendo system".

I am actually super disappointed in myself I forgot to mention the N64.

It feels like I spent more or less all my free time in middle school playing Goldeneye 😋

Wow to think we got Xenoblade 3, Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope, and Bayonetta 3 in just the last few months is amazing! They’re not even first party games!

I would argue both SNES and GC have more games I would call "top tier". As in games I found phenomenal that released during their respective eras.

Not gonna make lists but both of those platforms have around 10 games I regard that highly.

Switch only has a few for me:
Breath of the Wild
Stardew Valley
Celeste
Mario Odyssey
Hollow Knight

Lots of very decent stuff under that tier, as well as plenty of ports of good games, and ok 3rd party support.

I may be old.... but I believe either super nintendo or nintendo 64 was their best. N64 was probably my favorite honestly. Some of those games I still consider great even by today's standards.

My switch is great at collecting dust. As a portable, I'll give it credit. As a "home console" (laughable) its really, REALLY bad when compared to its competition.

The only other Nintendo system that could give it some competition would be the SNES, which was before my time, so meh. I'd say it is. It has good Nintendo first party games while also getting a good amount of third party support.

I’m having trouble coming to terms with that statement.

A) the console is a weird hybrid, and isn’t even done with its console life cycle yet.

B) I don’t think so. Reason is…I don’t know yet.

If you skipped the Wii U then yes. If you had a Wii U, then some of the gems on Switch you already had.

@hardwenzen: On PS5 this game would have died due to Sonys refusal to support smaller games like so many others have died. Sony refused to support Bayonetta 2 cause they are greedy evil dictators who love censoring games.

That’s why Switch gamers have so many bangers every month while PS5 waits a whole year for one good game.

Don't waste your time with him... he fell victim to "fanboy brain disease" a long time ago. You're talking to a brick wall.

I'd say no because for me, Nintendo's most solid system would have to be the SNES. Mainly for the First and Third party games for the most part. My personal favorite has to be the N64.

Been playing my Switch Lite a ton since I never got into the Wii. It's almost perfect just needs GameCube games from Virtual Console and Gameboy/GBA games. Last Nintendo console I truly liked was SNES and GameCube then there's the DS/3DS/New 3DS.

SUPER behind super nintendo and GBA

The fire emblem game three houses sucks compared to legit old school fire emblem that wasn't a high school anime simulator and was 99% all combat

Bayonetta 3 is my GOTY at this point (5 hours in I believe). Only game that can dethrone it at this point is Ragnarok. With that being said, fantastic year for the Switch. It’s aging like wine lol. Still have to play through Mario Rabbids 2. Also have Live a Live that I want to try. Then there’s Fire Emblem in January. And of course Breath of the Wild 2 in May. Can’t remember a Nintendo system that’s had this level of output. Persona 5 Royal and Nier Automata ports as well. Wow!

Yeah, it's been pretty sweet. Can't go wrong with my 3DS from time to time either though.

Anytime anyone asks if something is “objectively” anything I would put money down that it’s actually “subjectively” instead.

You also have to specific if you mean counting technology now or if you’re talking systems at the time they existed.

Either way, no, no you can’t.

It is objectively one of the Nintendo systems of all time. In fact, I'd say it's one of the systems ever created, period!

Pffft.. Not even in the same league with N64 with OOT, Golden Eye, Banjo & Kazooies, Perfect Dark, Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Party, Snowboard Kids etc. with so many as 4 player split screen to boot. :P
