If you consider the cash it takes to buy both systems it's no wonder the Xbox is winning.
On the X360's first day available it had a $300 sku ($200 less than a 20gb PS3 at launch)

It's a party in a box.
It's slick and fun to use.
Goes beyond just being a "console."
Every person who has sat down at my 360 has bought one.
In Japan and possibly in Europe (I don't know about Europe really) In America, the 360 has outsold the PS3 by a lotThat logic fails when you consider the fact that the ps3 outsold it since it launched.

Indeed, xbox 360 is 12.000.000 ahead of PS3 in US at least and the gap is only widening every month
Will be 1.000.000 more with December sales
The PS3 is in fact beating the 360 in the EU.
Anyway, the $200 SKU isn't driving the 360 forward. Its the marketing push with CoD [which is actually brilliant on their part] and probably the gigantic marketing push with the Kinect [which, if you actually care about games, SUCKS].
based on what numbers? The PS3 is in fact beating the 360 in the EU.

ms and sony are nothing alike, one is known for quantity and is known for quality.
so everytime someone braggs about sales between x360 and ps3, i laugh.
Yeah it couldn't be because it has a great library, superb features, and a robust online foundation....:roll:If you consider the cash it takes to buy both systems it's no wonder the Xbox is winning.

So this is what the lemmings have for 2012?
OhSnapitz
Well I can't speak for the lemmings, but this is what I have for 2012..
..Unless *insert fanboy gamer* is some sort of gimp who doesn't like/play multiplats.. :?
Most refreshing post ive read in a long time....[QUOTE="Nonstop-Madness"]The 360 is the most connected box. Thats why America loves the 360 yet the PS3 usually outsells the 360 everywhere else. OhSnapitzDo you have numbers from Europe?

Its pretty much common knowledge that the 360 only outsells the PS3 in NA. Europe is always close between the PS3 and 360 but the PS3 takes the cake.

Are you really that stupid or do you just like to pretend you are? The gap is getting smaller junior, not wider. Try to keep up with the real world instead of the fantasy world you are clearly living in now. It's a party in a box.

Ah but you see, the 360 isn't winning. It's simple math if you wish to know which is selling better. Take the system take the total units sold and divide it by the total month that system has been out. Now you can see the PS3 is clearly beating the 360 in sales. I love how fanboys always try to ignore that fact.AmazonTreeBoa
That's because Sony had done tons of price cuts on the PS3 a LOT more since launch just to even stay competitive with the Xbox 360 out of desperation. ;)

Put in parameters and exceptions all you want. We all justify in our own way, but if talking facts lets stick to the basics, its in 3 rd place, period.

You can make all the excuses you wish. It makes no difference to me. Bottomline is the PS3 is out selling the 360. Use whatever reasoning you need to help you sleep at night. ;)[QUOTE="AmazonTreeBoa"]Ah but you see, the 360 isn't winning. It's simple math if you wish to know which is selling better. No math or explanations needed. Sorry you need to play the well if we do it this way game, my favorite is winning fellas. I own one. Its a great console, but it's in third place, period.
Microsoft hits a lot of different demographics with the Xbox. Sony markets towards the core gamer and no one else really. Voice control is a neat little gimmick that will sell a lot of Kinects, but using a controller to navigate is faster than trying to talk like a robot.
Wait what? What part went over your head?

[QUOTE="soulitane"][QUOTE="kuraimen"]The reason Pet Rocks sold well in NA is also the reason the 360 sells so well there.kuraimenBecause they're so damn awesome? :o Awesomely pointless yes.I don't think you've experienced the impeccable company that is a pet rock :x

That's simply not the way it works, either in business or in common sense. It makes no sense to compare total sales of two products that have had different lifespans, as that is just O'Reilly style spin to try to drive an agenda.
[QUOTE="kuraimen"][QUOTE="soulitane"]I don't think you've experienced the impeccable company that is a pet rock :x soulitaneI have, I found one lying on my backyard and it came for free. Ah there's your problem, paying for it makes it that much better
I have some unicorn poo to sell you for only $500
