Today I was at Target picking up some cleaning supplies, and, as part of my usual cheap gamer ritual, I walked by their gaming aisles to check out the clearance deals. While I didn't find many deals, I did notice something a bit concerning. The gaming section consists of five aisles - clearance, Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, and PC. Each aisle has four cases - in the Sony aisle, the PS3 is usually given two of these cases for games, systems, etc -
-
Yet this Target had decided to replace one of the cases usually filled with games, and instead filled it with Blu-Ray movies. That doesn't say much for how the games were moving at this one particular Target. Does that say much for every store, for the PS3 on the whole, etc? Probably not - but it's a bit odd to be calling the 360 "doomed" when the 360 is the primary target for most software. The Wii and 360 move *tons* of software, the PS3 not so much.
-
Now if the PS3was picking up in software sales, what GAMERS should be saying is "good, more software is selling, gaming is doing better". Instead we see fanboys calling the 360 "doomed". Why? Isn't it a good thing for ALL systems when more games and software come out? How is the PS3 clawing out of the drain going to harm the 360?
