It's an add-on. Thinking a redesign is in the works with it included is wishful thinking by people too scared to take the plunge.

Granted, I don't blame them for erring on the side of caution. I just find it sad that some people are so vehemently opposed to the current model over what is, at this point in time, wishful thinking.

It's called a sale. HEB had 3DS's for $100 during Black Friday. They want people to shop from their store.

I recommend owning either a regular DS or PSP.

Both 3ds and Vita (in my view) basically suck

If you want watered down console games from the snes and n64 era just get a tablet or phone instead. At least they have additional functionality that you will use.

If you would have, you would know a bunch of great games just came out and the future is looking very bright. So what if the 3DS is cheap ? All nintendo handhelds can be found cheap after a few years.

I have over 20 games for both 3ds and vita so they are both doing well imo. For comparison, I only bought three games for my ps3 this year Gta V, Far Cry 3, and Dark Souls.
