Is the 3DS destined to be the greatest handheld of all time?

No ! The 3ds has been more miss then hit so far. Its biggest fuction is 3d games and thats a miss all the way. Also, when your biggest debate is the 3ds is more powerful then the Wii then you got problems. When you get mentioned in the same breathe as the wonderswan well yea lol. Oh and your biggest title to date is already tapping out the system in Mario 3d Land good luck. Enjoy being cross eyed !

That depends on your tastes. Though, it's probably because I've played every Harvest moon since the GB days.

Hardware wise the Ps2 is the worst console that Sony has ever developed period. It was a disaster to develop for and featured over priced memory cards that make memory stick duo and vita memory cards look like a great deal.

So far Sony's best designed hardware has been the Playstation one. The psp had it not used UMDs would have been the best.

Also you are basically admitting to not purposefully creating hyperboles to make yourself more of a "sheep"...

You claim that Devil survivor should count as an RPG for the 3DS... Would FFX count for the Vita?

Atleast OoT:3Ds is a remake and a good one at that... An enhanced port is still a port.

butthurt another 3ds owners feelings, aww your pokemon didn't come out yet ? Don't worry, you can always poke at animals in Nintendogs + Cats ! You know the saying Gotta touch them all.

I was talking about games/sales. PS3 is far behind PS2 in both categories. My parents paid for the PS2 for me, so I honestly can't remember the prices. I would've complained about it back then if I could.

Devil Survivor does count as an RPG, what else would it be? And Devil Survivor wasn't just a port, it has extra content (bonus episodes/more levels) and great voice acting which helps in getting through the tons of text in the game. I'm sorry, but I'd rather see more Devil Survivor-type ports than OoT or FFX-type ports.

What is your opinion on Persona 3 Portable or Persona 4 The Golden? Are they "lesser" games than OoT or FFX?

I know that Greatest Handheld of all time seems like hyperbole but honestly with the rise of mobile gamming I would not be surprised if next gen handhelds were alot more of a niche market.

I think the "rise of mobile gaming" will make handhelds more of a niche market this gen, which is why I can't see the 3DS building the massive library of quality titles that the DS enjoyed. The increased production values of the 3DS and Vita also figure to increase the cost of development and slow the release of titles, further working against the 3DS building a a DS-like library.

But hey, I'd love to be wrong. It's one of those things we won't know until it's over.

The DS really only shined in RPGs imo much like the ps1 and ps2.

The 3DS is looking to destroy the DS in regards to the other genres though.

Oh man, I'm so thrilled for the potential in my 3DS, those shots amplify my excitement. I loved the DS for the 6 or so years I had it, and the 3DS is shaping up nice for me.
