Is the Halo series overrated?

I will say that is probably one of the series that the quality and praise match each others, when the games are good they are praised for both fans and "experts", and when the games are not so good, they answer accordingly. But it is a matter of fact that it isn't what it used to be.

I owned an xbox and Xbox 360.

Believe it or not I was a die-hard xbox fanboy and vowed to never touch a playstation console before 2004.

If you know anything about disgruntled Sega fanboys then you will understand, I was that guy. I thought Xbox was the second coming of Sega and bought every exclusive made for the system to support it ratings be damned.

Do you want to know what made me break that vow?

Halo 2!

If there was one thing that has never changed for me as a gamer it's that my loyalty for any company lies within the effort they show to deliver exclusive games to it's fans, I really appreciate that over ANYTHING else.

I felt Halo 2 was a slap in the face to me as an xbox fan who had been loyal and waiting for a great exclusive game (there was a long drought before it released) only to find out I NEEDED to have XBL (purchase an additional service) to enjoy the real experience of the game.

Being that the H2 single player was tragically poor compared to CE and having no other high profile games to play or announced on xbox going forward, I broke down and bought a PS2. Don't think that just because someone is a Sony fan that they don't have honest opinions to give on franchise you love.

Halo CE is one of the best FPS's I've played, I just don't feel that way about the rest of the serise.

Killzone 2 is also one of the best console FPS ever made right behind Halo 1.

The fact that you mention games cows haven't played and then go and talk about Killzone (a franchise that most of you lemmings haven't played) and then try to criticize cows thinking it was good shows how backward and moronic your logic is.

You say "I never got into it. Granted I'm not an fps fan"...lmfao. What a clown...

People say all the time that 5 had great multiplayer, but other than the having good variety in the game types I don't see it.

The maps were super forgettable- and even 4 had some good maps so I don't get why they got so much worse in 5.

I thought Warzone was really boring too. Not as fun as Big Team Battle
