Is the wii a solid primary console or best a secondary support console?

I believe it is a secondary console good for accomdating your main console. The wii has some good games but they are few and far between. The occasional Nintendo game is what the wii excells at. The one thing that bothers me is the "casulization" of wii games. Even igns fanboy heavy site complains of mario kart wii being simplified for the casual audience. Also, smash bros has no stat tracking and you have no real idenitity because of this "casualiation."

Its a good secondary console for the occaional unique and good nintendo game but I dont' see it as a primary.

If your a big Nintendo fan, it's a good primary.

If your not that big of a Nintendo fan but still like their games, its a good secondary.

Wii is my primary console, have 9 games for it. PS3 is my secondary console, have 2 games for it.

I picture my Wii as a secondary console becuase i buy a Nintendo product for its good 1st and 2nd party titles (some good 3rd party exclusives also). It doesnt get the constant flow of good games like the PS3 or 360, but when you get those good 1st and 2nd party titles its very rewarding.

It will be good to buy a 360 or PS3, so you can play all those good 3rd party games with the awesome online and other things.

My 360 is my main console. My Wii is a secondary console, and my PS3 is a good movie player.

Yet Mario Kart which you speak of as being "casualised" features a metric ton of stat tracking. The deciding factor on whether your Wii is a primary or secondary console, is solely based on your gaming preferences and for me it's an awesome primary console.

Sorry but those games you can name like Zack and Wiki and Fire Emblem only appeal to nintendo fans or certain types of gamers. Sorry but none of them are system sellers are can even play with the big boys. Stupid Games like No More Hero's that nintendo fans like yourself try to say they are great. If you have nothing else to play then it's ok.

Im just saying that i buy nintendo consoles for 1st and 2nd party games. If im going to buy a 3rd party game, i will most likely buy it for my 360. Most games i buy are for my 360 (360= 13, PS3= 5, and Wii= 8), thats why 360 is a main and Wii is Secondary to me.

It may depend on how much you play. I don't get too much time to play so ive been on re4 and metroid for awhile. For me it works as a good primary and I use the ds as a secondary.

i think the wii is ok, but it will never satisfy my hunger for great graphics and more mature rated games. i honestly see the wii as a party machine when a bunch of people are hanging out drinking. i think most of the titles lack substance and visuals. mario is great and so is samus but i need more than just killing koopa troopsa and rolling around in a little ball blasting aliens.

Wii is also my primary with 11 games and most of my Gamefly list is Wii games...Then my DS which has 25 games and my 360 Which has 3 games

Theres no way the Wii is a good primary console. I own all three and to say the Wii is the good primary console would make you a huge blind Sheep. The Wii's a lot of fun and makes a great secondary console, but if it was your primary console you'd miss out on so much. Almost every third party game isnt on the Wii and its usually the weakest version if it is. The only games i'm intreted in this year for the Wii are SSBB and Mario Kart.
