Is the Wii even seen as a serious competitor in terms of game quality anymore?

Or has it finally been written off completely in SW? Does it still have its cult following that insist its library is on the same level as PC's/360's/PS3's ?

Seeing as both Madworld and SMG2 are some of my favorite games this gen, and SS is highly anticipated around here, yes. :3

The Wii has never been competing with the HD twins. Only ones who wanted to believe that were hopeful sheep in 05/06.

But the games are there. As a stand alone experience, the Wii is probably my favourite system this gen. Then again, I only jumped in in 2010 so I had a decent library to explore.

Meh, Wii has nerfed versions of CoD so I think it's a bad console. I like to play my cod with good graphix and 60 fps. Plus no map packs on Wii, I don't know how gamers survive on that thing.

The only reason people dismiss it is because most of the top quality games are from old franchises.

They release great games. So they should.

The Wii has a solid lineup of high quality titles, but it seems dead to me now. There haven't been any noteworthy releases since I can even remember, and the only game I'm looking forward to is Skyward Sword. It seems like Nintendo, along with all the 3rd party support has moved on at this point and is just focusing on the WiiU.

The Wii has it's fair share of exclusive content that makes it a worthy competitor. This year however, it doesn't have much, but it's probably because the Wii U will be out next year some time, Nintendo's done with the Wii and focusing it's efforts on the Wii U/3DS.
