With the Ps3 and Xbox 360 both being at a $300 price range. Is the Wii a tad bit to much at the $250 price range.?IMOyes and no(sure it may have lower tech aspects to the other systems but the 250 is kind of worth it). What does everyone else think?

In my opinion, yes, both the PS3 and the 360 are better gaming hardware, and they are around the price point of the wii, which uses last gen tech, lets face it. But as long as Nintendo can get away with selling it at that price, i dont see things changing anytime soon.
The Wii could probably use a price cut, based on Japanese sales at least.
Nintendo's usually slow when it comes to price cuts though; They still charge full price for launch games...
if it wasn't before, then there's no way it is now
sony and M$ dropped there prices to stay in the competition....nintendo has already ran far, far away with it
they'll drop the price once M$ and sony get about 2/3's the sells they have...so another year and half probably
$200 for a 360. $250 for a Wii. And $300 for a PS3.
Its still not the most expensive... but given all the other features the two other consoles offer for the price, it is way overpriced by comparison.
That's besides the point. You can multiply the components of the Wii over and over again and it will still not match the system specifications of a PS3 or a 360. Nor will it match the feature set.....the Wii doesn't even have DVD playback for God's sakes. And it's online network is an absolute shell of what it should be, for no other reason than Nintendo trying to protect their own consumers from eachother.$200 for a 360. $250 for a Wii. And $300 for a PS3.

its more expensive than the ps3, but way cheaper the 360. because think aobut it, its 200 for xbox 360 plus 50 dollars a year live, where psn, and nintendo wifi are free and psn destorys live. 100 dollars for wifi, ps3 and the Wii have wifi built in, and 100 dollars for hdd, ps3 has one built in, and the Wii u can use SD cards which are extremmly cheap. S0 the 360 is $450 dollars compared to the Wi's 250 and the ps3 $300
Yes it's way overpriced.
Both 360 and PS3 offer more in one package, for just $50 more. Most consumers who buy the Wii, actually believe it is very powerful than PS3 or 360, on behalf of the Wiimote control scheme. When they see the Wii, they go, "Oh honey, that Nintendo thingy has a fully automatic powerful wireless controller, the others don't seem to have one and it looks very compact and very slim, I can put it in my Gucci Purse, my girlfriends will love it. Could you buy one, honey?"
That's just an example why it sells. If it's any indication, my 58 year-old aunt had my uncle buy her a Wii for Wii-fit. She also actually believes the Wiimote was a universal remote, a convenience for her to use one remote to control the TV, Cable, etc.
[QUOTE="clubsammich91"]If there is a 200$ 360 and a 299$ PS3, then yes the Wii is over priced.CDUB316
the wii can't be overpriced if it was never overprice to being with
Could you reiterate that post for me please?Expensive and overpriced mean two different things.
When something is expensive, that means it costs a lot of money; sometimes more than one is usually willing to spend.
When something is overpriced, that means that something costs much more than it's worth; not enough bang for one's buck.
Whether or not something is expensive and/or overpriced is up to the consumer. What may be considered expensive to some may be cheap for others. What may be considered to be overpriced to some may be a great value for others.
I consider the Wii to be expensive, but not overpriced.
I understand where your coming from and your correct in what you are saying..... but If people are willing to pay that price then why should they lower it, out of good heart??hell yes. It should of been in the $150 price range by now. But nintendo thinks that the wii is somehow viable to compete against the ps3 and 360 in terms of overall value.
