Is the Wii U officially dead yet or do we have to actually wait till PS4 launch.

well i'm judging it by what i see, and from what i see and know about the specs its on par with 360/ps3, even need for speed wiiu looks the same, maybe even worst from the reviews and please, you can can't even compare the wiiu online network to xbla or psn, i hear it takes 15 hours to download a game, lol. to me nextgen is not wii or wiiu, its 360-720 or ps3-ps4.

for one thing gamecube sold much better based on npd numbers, 300,000 units more or so, and it actually was a powerful console for its time, unlike the wiiu which a current gen interms of power with a silly  tablet controller that feels like crap. pluse the nintendo brand has been really damaged since the wii with core, imagine a avaerage joe gamer buying wiiu as his main console, and finding out that his console was last gen and games look like utter crap compared to 360/p3, not to mention no third party support, wii sales cause of motion controls from a whole new audience, that bought it as a wii sports/wii fit machine.

Because we know whatever it is capable of will be vastly inferior to the Microsoft and Sony consoles. That would not be so bad if the 3rd party support wasn't horrendous. So ancient hardware and small library of games.

Lets look at the facts; Sales are increasing, not drastically at this point, but increasing. They keep picking up more and more third party support. And none of the big name Nintendo games have been released. Don't forget they are making a profit on the Console everytime it's sold...so technically, they can sit on it forever and keep making a profit.

In short, No, it's far from dead. In fact, it's just getting started. And, honestly, what kind of moron would consider Nintendo's Console "dead" before the flagship Nintendo titles come out? Stupidity at it's finest.

Most people arent old enough to have played all 3 mario games on nes in the 1980s so they really wouldnt understand lol the games just dont have the same magic for me as the 80s/90 mario games.

It's the direction of the modern games just dont like it.

This is where i think mario galaxy fails skip to 5:56 you see mario world is big as **** but all the planets in the galaxy tiny little platforms like some crappy quake 3 arena map instead of other big ass worlds like mario world.
