:) I usually like to own all three consoles every generation I got a 360 but im not sure if i should bother with the Wii or not. Can anyone name some quality games that arent made by Nintendo :?

I agree it has some great games but I could not see myself happy with just the Wii. Then again I could not see myself happy without owning a Wii also.

A couple (unlisted) non-Nintendo games I liked were Okami, and NiGHTS (It got a wide range of review scores, but costs $20 brand new too).

But i never really been interested in Nintendo games since the N64 and just wanted to know if anyone else had made any good games for the console.

Well, it depends. The Wii has a lot of games that are more niche games. You may want to do some research on some of the games on the console to see if it's for you or not. And don't just go by scores. Obviously if a game is really crappy, it will get a crappy review. But a lot of times, a game can get a pretty average score (6 range) and still be a lot of fun, at least IMO. Games that I have thatyou could check out to see if they interest you, as well as a brief statement as to why I like them: Trauma Center Second Opinion: If you have a DS and the original TC, this may not be for you since it's basically an updated port of the original game. In that case, you could still get New Blood (which I haven't played yet, so can't comment on). Basically, you're a doctor who performs operations. But the operations in the game aren't based on real kinds of operations, they are more like action puzzler type things, where you have to work against the clock and have to figure out how to help the people who are hurt or sick. de Blob: A very unique take on the platforming genre, where you have to go around painting cities, and doing different missions. There is a nice amount of replay value, and a decent amount of challenge (it does take a while to get really challenging, but the challenge does reach a satisfying level). Overall, it's just a very fun game. Super Monkey Ball Banana Blits: Fans of the previous games, or any of the other marble games may want to check this out. Very fun, even if the difficulty is a bit uneven, and the mini-games are so bad that they might as well have been left out. Geometry Wars Galaxies: Some people may not be interested in this if they already have the original game. It depends on your tastes though. I love it because of how much depth it adds to the gameplay. There's only so much you can do to that game without changing the core gameplay, but with this game they added enough to make it seem worth the money they charge, but some people would rather just stick with the original and not even bother with this. One thing that is good is that, since it's been out for a while, it has gone down a bit in price, but may still be too expensive for those who don't care about the depth. No More Heroes: Very fun game. Not without its flaws, mainly that it's a bit repetitive. If you don't mind that, it's just a very fun game for the Wii, and definitely worth checking out. Sonic and the Secret Rings: Some people may cry "O noez! T3h Sonix 3D sux!" However, this is a pretty good game. Granted, not as good as the 2D games, but not as bad as some Sonic haters make it out to be. Sonic Unleashed: Some people may not like the werehog levels, and think that the regular levels are too far apart, taking up too little of the whole game, which is understandable. I personally think it's a good game though. Also, I have not played the 360 version, so I don't know which I'd say is better, although the Wii version has gotten better reviews. There are other games that I have that I like, but not enough to reccommend to other people. And I'm not including 1st party games because you just mentioned 3rd party. However, there are a lot of games that I want to get that you may want to look at to see if you're interested in them: MadWorld House of the Dead: Overkill Okami (you may have played it on PS2, so it may not interest you) Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World Kororinpa: Marble Madness Little King's Story Sonic and the Black Knight Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles The Conduit Zack & Wiki Boom Blox Marble Saga: Kororinpa Mercury Meltdown Revolution Sin and Punishment 2 Trauma Center New Blood Fanal Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams Elebits Dewey's Adventure Opoona No More Heroes 2 Also, while it shouldn't be the main reason to get a Wii, don't forget about the VC and WiiWare games that you can get.

If you have expendable cash then it would be good for social use but don't get it if you mostly game buy yourself. Otherwise look into an upgrade for you're PC (you can get into PC gaming if you want, i'm just suggesting this as people tend to use them alot and invest relitively little into them), new TV (all you're games and moviees you've currently got will then look better), new audio (all your games and music will sound better). Ofcourse there are other things you could buiy but this is what i'ld look for as these are viable alternatives to the Wii and atleast i tend to keep a seperate budget for stuff worth saving for and regular stuff like movies, games, music, clothes ect....

I have a PS3 and Wii and don't know what you're talking about. I have a harder time defending my PS3.

For me alone it is not worth it. My wife and kid use it often so for them it is well worth it. There are 2 games that I must play though, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Super Mario Galaxy. For 2 games though, for me it's not worth it.

dont pay full price for a Wii its not worth it !!! its pretty much a gamecube 1.5 with fiddly controls its a cash cow nintendo making up for the profit lost with the gamecube !!!

and im not a nintendo hater i loved the gamecube !!! i had a Wii the only good game i found was Resident Evil 4 and i didnt mind Red Steele

but the online is horrible and the graphics are shocking and the controls are over rated

oh and if you have a HD screen forget it you wont be able to go back to it if you had a 360 or ps3 even with the component cables which are not included!!! you can only run a max of 480P !!!! LOL

It really depends on the person. I found enough out of my Wii to be a validated system and more is still comings. Some may say yes, others no.

i had a Wii the only good game i found was Resident Evil 4 and i didnt mind Red Steele but the online is horrible and the graphics are shocking and the controls are over rated

im not a nintendo hater i loved the cube i mainly got the wii for zelda TP

games i remember owning on Wii

Need For Speed carbon, Zelda TP, Re4, Raving Rabbids, Wii Sport "Obviously" red steel, the godfather blackhand "great game" actually used controls well suprising for EA, Mortal Kombat arrmaggedon, paper mario, heatseeker and some others i cant remember them all !!!

i was not interested in Brawl its rubbish compared to Meele anyway !!! i saw the shovel ware coming and what nintedo are really doing and i jumped ship

i would pick up a Wii again for $100 its not worth a cent more

If you have the money, its worth it but honestly Wii's best games are the nintendo franchises for the most part. I have a few third party games that I enjoy:

Zack and Wicki Quest for Barbados Treasure

Lego Star Wars Complete Trilogy

Resident Evil 4 (a cheap game, and IMO still worth it even if you already have the gamecube or ps2 version)

3rd Party games I want to buy:

Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles

Bully Scholarship Editio

Okami

Boom Blox

World of Goo

Shaun White Snowboarding: Road Trip

There are some other 3rd party games coming out that a lot of people want to buy like the Conduit and Deadly Creatures, but I don't think I'l get them unless they are cheap

No, not even a little bit. From a value standpoint, the thing is a piece of garbage. You get poorly implemented motion controls that ruin most ports and genres in their entirety, you get processor and memory components roughly equivalent to a last-gen Xbox, and you get tiny amounts of memory, painful online play, and a huge price point that is no where equivalent from a cost-performance-value perspective as the other three platforms (PC, 360, PS3). Then you don't even get DVD playback. The thing is an embarrassment to the videogame industry. Next?

Things that may make the Wii worth for you:

-The final price is $250, maybe because the US version includes Wii Sports (substract $50 and a more reasonable price comes out).

-The Wii is the console with the most backwards compatibility made yet. Full bc with Gamecube games, can use the Virtual Console to play NES, SNES N64 and Genesis/Megadrive games.

-If you hate Wii Motion Controls, a good doze of the good games has the option to use the GC controller or the Classic.

-Some games that are worth (depending on your tastes) the purchase are: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, Prime 3: Corruption, BRAWL, De Blob, Boom Blox, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Mario Kart Wii, COD W@W, Wii Fit.

-Some games coming this year that may be worth it for you: Deadly Creatures, Wii Sports.

-The Wii barely has any non-gaming additional content to oveprice it.

-If you don't mind to share games with non-gamers, there are plenty out there.
