Is the WII-U coming out this year?

Novelty, it was tickle me elmo for a while there...Wii bowling was a fad played at old folks homes everywhere. These people are not gonna buy a new system to play wii bowling in HD.

I'll probably buy one because I buy all systems but be honest with yourself, the WII gaming wise was a huge flop almost to the point of being a joke and now they release a new system that is basically on par with 7 year old hardware.

I'm pretty sure it will release this year.. and i'm pretty sure it will sell tons. It has the Nintendo Logo on it.. it's like Apple... they just have to put it's logo on it.

The Wii-U just doesn't have the hype to launch this year. It's still too soon. They should wait for Sony and Microsoft to announce their next gen consoles and get more people excited about next gen. Then capitalize on that excitement.

Nintendo announced the Wii price and date in September of 2006; Preorders were available on October 13th of 2006 and the Wii released on November 19, 2006.

So I think Nintendo will do the same thing with the Wii U. Announce the price and release date on September 13, 2012 and release the Wii U on November 18, 2012.

Yes it will be released this year. Thing is, hype is sooo smallll in theses forums. After the mediocrity of the Wii. They´ll do fine in the end. I doubt they will reach Wii numbers though.Giancar
