Probably not. Seems like it has been completely forgotten by everyone except diehard PC fans. At this rate I'm not even sure it will get nominated for Best RPG, let alone GOTY. Witcher 2 just seems like a failure. Ohwell, who needs short and linear little RPGs with little to no replay value like that when amazing games like Dark Souls exist. Hell, I'm not even a fan of Skyrim but it still looks leagues better than Witcher 2. Harsh but true words.

I'm agreeing with you on this one, if the likes of ME2 and TW2 become the standard "great" PC RPGs than RPG gene will turely die on PC
what happen to all time classic real open world games like deus ex(HR is awsome don't get me wrong) and TES3? where you not only change the course of your story and quest by your conversation choices but also your action.
the witcher 2 does that....depending on the choices you make you're sent down a completely different quest line....either backing up roache or iorveth...not to mention the entire 3 chapter is based on different choices as well..By saying the course of your "action" i mean something like lurking around the woman's room and you lose karma from your female quest person because you were caught on camera
To kill or save a story related NPC to see how the world turns different is far more existing then pick a scripted choice, which can be easily keep the last save and reload to see how each one plays out, and as expected, none of them are interesting.
except the first chapter's choice where you have to decide to go with elfs or blue strip(medieval FBI totally awesome...not) most choices are pretty much no brainers they are either between best reward or ok reward, fight this person or not to fight, romance or no romance. And don't even get me start on combat/
Give it credit where iss due, by no mean it is a bad game, graphic is great and production value is decent, but it has no place to stand between PC's hall of famer (Deus EX, TES1.2.3, gothic1.2.3 etc)
