I have all 3 systems, and I grew up with Nintendo, Sony, and Sega. Both Sony and Nintendo have rich histories in gaming. Sony has talented devs and always come up with groundbreaking titles. I never hesitate to buy a Playstation console each gen cause I know I'll get quality titles. Nintendo has the characters we grew up with, however, Nintendo isn't what they used to be back in the SNES era. Nintendo seems to be afraid to push other franchises besides Mario, Zelda, and Metroid. However, they still have their own charm and I can see why they have fans. What has Xbox given us to remember besides Halo and Gears? I mean most of its good games are on PC. Halo is the only good game on 360 this year. Why isn't MS trying to create new and talented studios? It seems they only rely on Halo and Multiplats. Microsoft has like no characters to remember besides Master Chief:? When do you guys think MS will try to create their own legacy instead of being the multiplat playing me-too console that just happens to play Halo?

The Xbox 360 has more hidden gems than any other gaming library.

Besides, it's harder to come up with new franchises that will stick out like Nintendo's Mario, or Sony's Metal Gear, nowadays.

Nintendo and Sony have been around a lot longer than Microsoft in the gaming industry, which gave them a good amount of time to settle in and build loyalty, along with fresh, unique franchises. The Xbox came around when games were becoming B movie experiences instead of being innovative and ground breaking.

I guess if it's published by them. Either way it's still a be thankful they do that kind of thing since they could keep them just on 360 to try and sell more hardware.

1) You own one. It's nice to like the things you own. 2) You enjoy the games released on the system, both old and new. 3) You enjoy gaming machines of all sizes and varieties, rather than forcing yourself to hate everything you dont have/like 4) You have a number of friends who have xboxes and you all enjoy playing games together; it's great fun. That wasn't so hard.

I have all 3 systems and a gaming PC. The reason why I am an Xbox fan is because: 1) Xbox 360 has the best traditional controller 2) Mircosoft has no handheld to compete with PSP or DS. This means you won't see endless watered-down spin-offs on a portable system. Imagine how many DS games there would be of Halo and Gears of War if they were Nintendo IPs. 3) Xbox Live is better and more centralised than PSN. Most of my friends and relatives play on XBL, so this influences my decision as to where I play online 4) I am more interested in Natal than Sony Ball-on-a-Stick and WiiMotion+ 5) Lots of JRPGs. Lots of global support from third parties

YTour logic is just as bad as the TC. I'm not a lemming and I own a 360 and like it. I just like to play videogames and I'm not a fanboy.

If you think about how long Nintendo has been in the business, and then look at how long MS has been in the business, you can clearly see that MS has come a very long way in very short amount of time with the Xbox franchise. Look how well established their games are like Halo, Forza, Gears of War, etc. Trying to paint that kind of picture of MS is really...........well.....................halarious.

It's funny, I remember when Microsoft announced that they were getting into the video game console business. Everyone hated Microsoft back then and were saying that the evil empire would buy out the competition and going on and on about how bad Windows was. It just kinda has me wondering, where did all these Microsoft fanboys come from? Microsoft is suddenly a good company? What?

Which is another thing I will never understand. Why the heck was that game so popular? Personally, I hated Halo. Played it once on my buddys Xbox with that gigantic donught of a controller (another reason to not like the Xbox, that thing was terrible!) and to me it just wasn't a good game.

Yeah, to you in wasn't a good game.

I can guarantee you that there are many games that you love but a lot of people hate, and it's something that everybody just has to live with.

I guess these new Microsoft fans don't realize better FPS games came out years before Halo. I mean wow, first we had to deal with this for many years:

Blue screen of death

And now we have this:

Red ring of death

Microsoft fails. Apple is better. Sony is better.

Yes:

-You enjoy its library of games.

-You enjoy its exclusives and features.

-You prefer it over other consoles.

There. That's 3 reasons.

You know what i meant.Sure Bioshock eventually came to PS3,but they started as microsoft exclusive's.I mean,if nintendo let it'sdeveloper's utilizing PS3/360 hardware to make a mario or zelda game it would make a joke of what the Wii dished out.

I understand what TC is saying. I only got a PS3 because 90% of my favorite gaming series have been on Sony's consoles over the past 15 years. Sony lost all of its 3rd party exclusives, but that stable of first/second party developers has given me some great gaming memories. Also, I made my decision when PS3 was BC. My PS2 died in fall 2007 and it was time to upgrade. Without PS2 BC, the decision would have been between PS2, PS3 and 360 instead of an automatic PS3 purchase.

by your logic tc, you shouldnt like anything that you hadnt grown up with because if you DID, youd see that the 360 is more than simply halo and gears. seriously you have made yourself one pretty extreme anti 360 thread here and youre forgetting some of the most quality titles this gen has come out on the 360 though since you probably dont own a 360 you dont know about them and thus could care less. in the future you should consider looking at the software lineup before making dumb posts like these.

I think that MS's focus is a little different. They're looking at the console as a full blown entertainment center. That's why they keep adding a lot of things that many hardcore games could give a hoot about. But I see that they're throwing a large net with this approach. Like they're trying to keep hardcore gamers while also intriguing and brining in new casuals. Also adding all these new features, that initially may seem unimportant, may later prove to be something that most people use regularly. It seems like it would be a good idea for them to put out some more exclusive titles and to put together more dev teams. However, you have to respect the fact that they're trying to add new functionality to the gaming console, regardless of whether you like their additions or not. And I'm not suggesting that Sony isn't doing this as well, but it does seem like MS is focusing on this aspect of gaming more than the other two consoles.

Hmmm.What about Left 4 dead?Mass effect?Bio shock?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

As if those are 360 exclusive games.

did you know that if he made a list of high scoring 360 exclusives that it would be longer than either the ps3 or the wii?

How about AAAE and AAAAE according to Gamespot?

I am glad I bought a 360. It's been a good 3 years.
