is there actually people out there who rather play PS2 over x360?

I'm still playing PS2 games (Final Fantasy XII & Vice City Stories) and will do until I get a PS3.

I've never had any plans to buy an Xbox360. Why would I?

I think the360 has and equal amount of quality games comparied to the PS2. Dont you think?

Just think about it for a second...There is a AA title for every game genre for the xbox360.

HELL NO. You're out of your mind if you think a TWO YEAR OLD CONSOLE can even come close to matching the single most successful home system of all time in terms of games. Maybe if you compared only their first two years, in which case yes, the 360 matches the PS2, but not when you take ALL SEVEN of the PS2's years into consideration.

I heard a discussion on the streets saying that xbox360 graphics arent THAT much better than ps2. Now I know for a fact thats a load of crap but just the mere thought of somebody actually playing stink arse PS2 over x360 is considered a sin in my book. who in these forums would actually buy, play and trade there 360 in for a PS2?bigbon_basic

If you WERE a real gamer you would realize that as good as the 360 library is, it pales in comparison to the hundreds of excellent and original games the PS2 has in its library.

sorry but imo the ps2 is still the best bang for your buck, for now as soon as this gen gets rolling i think it could be a different story. 360 fans say that the 360 has more games than the ps3 so its better, now if you use that logic the best console thats still on the market has to be the ps2 i know its 'last gen' but the games are awesome and most devs still support it so the library is getting BIGGER i know its amazing to think it.

Whats good is that this time around the ps3 has some serious competition so will have to try harder .it will be a great generation for the gamers because we will have more choice.If you dont allready own all the systems then i sugest you save up and own all the systems so you dont miss any great games alot of people say its the money that stops them getting the best system but by this time next year there will be no excuse. thanx for reading :D

When I didn't have a HDTV I played my PS2almost as much as my 360. There was a few games still coming out for it back then and the 360 did not have the library it has now. Now I do have a hdtv it's graphics look absolutely terrible, even after buying component cables for it. I don't entirely care about graphics but when there are games in the same genre with better graphics and gameplay on 360 nostalgia isn't enough to make me play any PS2 game for long. Maybe a story focused one like FFX but not much else.TiberiusKane

PS2 was perhaps better for it's time and it has a larger library of accumulated games but do you honestly think the PS2 is currently better than the 360? Unless you just bought one now you have already played it's best games and since not many had online or had good online the replay value is limited. The SNES was better than the PS1 for it's time but that didn't mean I was playing more SNES games then PS1 games in 1997.

There is a few genres that do not improve over time and some games that really stand the test of time (Street Fighter 2 comes to mind) but for the most part newer games eventually improve on their older counterparts. On PC and 360 that has happened in most genres and will continue to happen as more games are released.

Yea, i guess. I play Socom 3 online mostly all the time. On the 360, I'm not sure yet, mostly half the games I play are fill with noboby. (though people are playing Gaylo 3)

I am happily playing my PS2 this days. Just got Final Fantasy XII, Bully and Kingdom Hearts are on the mail and I cant wait to beat those to get some more games.

PS2 = a ton of awsomegames at great prices. If you are so happy paying 400+ dollars for a console and paying 60 for games, thats your problem.

I still play my PS2 as well, but 75% of my gaming time is with my XBox 360. 20% is with my PS2, PSP & DS and 5% is with my PC. :D
