PS3 has good games comming.............. 360 has good games now. You choose. SkullboyX
basically, yea
I own a Wii, and love it, but there are quite a few games out there that aren't available for it. Most of the ones I want are available on both the PS3 and the 360. The 360, in addition to better pricing, also seems to have a better game selection. So is there any reason whatsoever to pick up a PS3? Any extremely great exclusive games, etc?TheMonthlyDaily
Unless you're die hard Sony fanboy, and dont care about just waiting and lots o flops, you dont need one. Get the 360 to compliment your Wii, and you will be happy...
There are reasons to pick up a PS3 over a 360, most of those reasons are related to next year though and not this year. Currently I'm having a lot more fun with games on my 360, but my PS3 will probably get more play time next year. You can't go wrong with either one, but I recommend both.
[QUOTE="whocares4peace"]If your PS3 broke would Sony replace it?........ thought so.Yes,unlike the 360 ps3's dont break.
SkullboyX
All PS3's come with a one year warranty.

Yes they would check in the PS3 forum. First you have to find someone who actually had one break. You might have to really search for it. Then see how long it took. I've seen some people get them back in two days. One day overnight, and the next day Sony overnights one back. That was happening quite a bit last Christmas and was great customer service from Sony.

the average non-fanboy gamer who visits this site (me) is missing out ifthey don't own all the systems. unfortunately, while i have tons of skrilla in the bank, this college student's only job is teaching drums, so right now i've just gotta be happy with my first choice (360) until ps3 drops to around 300.
to answer yuor question, its just personal choice. if any of ur friends have systems, play on them to get some good judgment. both systems have a pretty bright future, regardless of your tastes.

No.. Uncharted is freakin awesome!!!!!!!
Depends, what 360 has now is all it's going to have. PS3 hasn't started with its big games yet. So if you like fun games like Ratchet and Clank, Gran Turismo, Killzone 2, MGS4, LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted, Haze, etc., plus free online, get the PS3.
The 360 is good, however, the online is not free, it has reached its peak (whereas PS3 is using 30% of its power for the most graphically advanced game on the PS3 and almost all 360 games), and its extremely, let me repeat that, extremely unreliable.
[QUOTE="SkullboyX"][QUOTE="Click_Clock"]Overrated. Nuff said.
Enough said.

Have you seen a movie in HD?!
I wouldn't be surprised if he said he didn't. HD movies are such a big leap from DVDs. I think it's bigger from VHS to DVD. The movies are just so clear and detailed, it's amazing.Depends, what 360 has now is all it's going to have. PS3 hasn't started with its big games yet. 360 has not peaked yet. the xbox didn't peak 2 years into its life span, why would 360? there are many more great games to come.
people act like the ps3 finally getting its act together this holiday and 08' means that 360 is dead.

WOW, 360 has reached its peak, according to who, you, just because the 360 is easier to develop for doesn't mean they have reached its full potential, thats stupifyingly ignorant.
As for the reliability, so far my 360 has been better than my PS2, so I'm happy, and at least Microsoft admitted a problem, I had to actuallyBUY 2 additional Ps2 after they both had disk read errors, I've had my 360 for over a year and a half
better graphics blu ray free internet sooooooo much better games no breaking down sixasis
PS3 RULES
ps3wizard45

He means in terms of performance and graphics, not in terms of AAA Titles or sales. The PS3 currently only uses 30% of it's power when playing the most process demanding games, while the 360's processor is using a much higher percentage. Disc space is also becoming a problem for developers on the 360. The devs are starting to find themselves limited by 360's hardware.Kinda sorta. While the syestem is even more inticing now with teh pricecut, tehre are just not enough IT games out. But come early 08, I would definetly pick one up. I would ask santa for one for X-Mas. Its a cheap Blu-Ray player (I assume you have a HDTV?) webbrowser, Free Online, Most the stuff XBOX Live offers (it dosent have a video Marketplace type thing yet) Great games already out, and you get to play certain games you wont find on 360. I personally own both a PS3 and 360, so im in gaming heaven.
Buy a console is a hugh investment. If you are going toput several hundred dollars and probably over $1000-3000 over several years into a console plus games plus accessories.... Which one is the safer bet?gamenux
Maybe PS3 because you wont have to pay 50 a year for Online on PS3 like you have to with 360. Also, YOu may have to send the 360 backa few times because of the RROD. All you really need for PS3 is games, and the Remote tehy sell. Trust me, the remote makes the PS3 the perfect Movie Player.
1 and 5 are my main reasons and the ps3 being cheaper is icing on the cake. I would pay more for a system that I wanted more so the fact that it will be cheaper in the long run is even better news.
I want experiences like Heavenly Sword , Uncharted , MGS4 , God of War III , etc ........... and at the same time be able to enjoy games like Warhawk and Socom without any additional online fees. That is where it is at for me.
I respect people if they would rather play the 360 gamesinstead and don't mind paying for that online service and can deal with the hardware issues , but the ps3 seems tailor made for me in so many ways.
doesn't really matter Ill probably be picking up a PS3 when the good games start rolling in but I am still very happy with my 360 (its a near launch console and still works fine) and it has a lot of good games out
Can't speak for the fanboys but I personally don't think there is... Atleast not now. I planned on getting a PS3 something this past summer, but all of it's games keep getting ported to other systems. I was going to pick up VF5, DMC4, Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword, ect... But when you look at the 360's lineup, there's no reason to.. Vf5/DMC4 both got ported to the 360. Motorstorm looks great but to me its not all that much better than PGR4.. Heavenly sword still looks great but DMC4 and now NG2 intrest me a lot more... So why would I spend $500 on a PS3.. :? Just my 2 cents..

The only reason I could think of is if someone had a gun pointed at you and said he was going to ravage your wife if you did not buy a PS3...but that's about it.
High def is overrated because they charge a premium and are still making bad transfers, releasing the HD with fewer special features than the DVD version, setting you up to buy another high def version down the line. Stuff like that.
The 360 is THE FINAL WORD in console gaming. Everything else is a leaky bag of weaksauce.
