Honestly, it's fine if you're pleased with multi plats, but I miss AAA PC exclusives. Part of the reason I don't even bother to upgrade my rig.

AAA mainstream trash suited more to consoles.
theres the reason why STALKER is best PC game of all time.
also sure when there is Doom and Doom Eternal. there is Cyberpunk around the corner. its worth upgrading PC.
where are console exclusives? sony has all movie games. microsoft games are all now on PC.
exclusivity died and exclusives are anti consumer.

Okay...
Multiplayer is a lot of fun,
Ghost has the unmitigated gall to be all gung ho hardcore FPS gang, but doesn't play multiplayer. Imagine not playing by far and away the best part of the genre. All scrub talk reasons too.
Gmanlives the FPS expert donot play MP much.
see SP FPS always matter most.

lol
I definitely won't forget this gen, but I will in no way look back on it fondly. All I can say is "good riddance."
Would be almost entirely forgettable for me if not for the Switch. Using it more than my other systems and PC combined.
Yeah kind of agree... the Switch is what I've been playing most the last couple of years. But I've also played a lot of memorable games on XB1 this gen too.
Overall, it's been a pretty solid gen (not as good as the GC/Xbox/PS2 gen, but probably better than last gen).
Hate to break it to you but the Switch is not this gen its next gen.
It's last gen based on performance. LOL
That may be the case, however it is a "next gen" machine.
No, it is just shit. LOL
Current gen WiiU/XB1/PS4
Next gen Switch/SeX/PS5
No gen and pointless PC lol.
These are the facts, learn to live with it :)
LOL at your PC comments and Nintendo consoles don't even fall into traditional console generations. Generations are mainly determined by the power of the hardware. Since Nintendo does not compete on power and they have staggered releases of their hardware, Nintendo just does their own thing. The last time Nintendo was part of the traditional console generations was the Gamecube era.
Super memorable, despite Nintendo and Microsoft sucking. I got a Saturn Sonic and SoR4, which would be enough on their own, but there's also been Yakuza (0, 6, Kiwami 1, Kiwami 2, Ishin), Persona 5, Nioh, Bloodborne, Valkyria Chronicles 4, Gravity Rush 2, Nier: Automata, and so on.
Perhaps it has not been the most innovative, but I think gameplay overall has improve quite a bit. Most studios have released much better games this gen than last imo. I’ve enjoyed this gen a lot.
I'm going to say both, there were some well made and brilliant games for sure and VR is an exciting new peripheral, but did the generational leap provide a massive step up in gameplay design from the previous generation... I don't think so, not for me at any rate.
It all felt rather iterative rather than revolutionary. I hope things like complex AI, crowd systems and destruction on PS5 and Series X are a big step up. That's my hope anyway.
The Switch has really made this a great Generation for me. PC has also been great. Ps4 and Xbox One.....Not so much.
Pretty forgettable. Come to think of it, everything after gen 6 has been forgettable. Sony makes their boring as **** movie games for casuals. Microsoft has just been plain sucking. Nintendo still refuse to use their goddamn IPs. PC has continued getting lame ass third party console games instead of games made for PC.
A few gems here and there aside, it's been largely forgettable. Ignoring VR this gen because I don't have a headset, gen 6 was probably the last innovative gen.
PC is only saving grace. nintendo still making childish games and will forever make childish games.
Nah, this is the first gen when I absolutely hated the PC. Note, I mainly play strategy games and simulation so I'm getting my fix, but AAA PC big budget games are dead. Mainly its a multiplatform/indie/F2P platform. Really sad, because I grew up with PC gaming.
I miss AAA PC exclusives so much it sucks so bad that we don't have them anymore those where easily the golden years of PC gaming.

why wanted PC to turn into consoles?
AAA mainstream games lol. most of them are crap.

I agree. 2004, waiting for World of Warcraft, Half-Life 2, Unreal Tournament 2004, Rome: Total War, The Sims 2, Counter Strike Source, City of Heroes, Everquest 2, Doom 3... Jesus were some of the best gaming years of my life. I actually made an account that year in these forums and celebrated when WOW won GOTY.

Yea, man I got into PC gaming around 2005 and got deep into Battlefield 2 and joined a clan it was so much fun those are some of the best gaming times I've ever had. MP gaming use to be so much fun until these greedy as publishers ruined it.I also played CS:S too I loved gun game so addictive great times.

speaking of AAA PC Exclusive
Im pretty sure its coming this year. publish by microsoft.
if its not AAA exclusive than i dont think what is.
now what console have worthy exclusive?
Yea, man I got into PC gaming around 2005
lol you answered your own question. I have been gaming on PC since 90s
Meh... remakes don't make much sense to me, and the big hitters were mostly swing and misses for me. When the best online shooter this gen was a CoD game and I have to dig deep to think of a better game than Rocket League... something isn't right. That said, I did enjoy many games and think several were fun. The problem is the vast majority of them have already been done before, and better. Once again, one of the few exceptions is the Modern Warfare reboot which is by far big enough of a re-imagining to not feel like a remake.. almost like a huge change in the crap direction they were heading for so long and bringing things back down to earth a bit. (it's my favorite CoD game ever made... which isn't saying much though.. lol). I remember the days when I laughed at CoD games and put them very low on my shooter lists.. sad to see how things have turned out..
Neverwinter was great, RL, Ark, Atlas, 7 Days.. maybe some card strat games... blegh.. pretty subpar for me for sure. Maybe just 2-3 games I would consider adding to any kind of personal top 100 list.
I truly believe next gen is going to be better for me. People can downplay the loading times all they want, but for console gamers it's going to be a large step forward with the way games are able to perform and with limited downtime.
Memorable. I had some of the best experiences this gen and I don't think I'll be forgetting them anytime soon. I had a blast playing Alien: Isolation, Shadow of War, RE7, Witcher 3, MGS5 etc ,,, plus all the classics I missed from 90s and 2000s. This was an amazing gen for me.
This gen been fun. Many overrated games though like BoTW and Witcher 3 to name a few.
I think you forgot how to spell Horizon Zero Dawn :)
That too. Especially xenoblade 2, garbage.
This is one of my favorite things about forums. Different opinions. You would not be you if you did not endlessly bash Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Don't get me wrong I love that about you sakaixx. You feel about Xenoblade Chronicles 2 exactly how I feel about the pathetic (legit 2 out of 10)Final Fantasy 7 remake that everyone acts like they love. Different strokes eh?
It's not revolutionary as the last one! but other than that, it's just as great as the other generations!
I'll certainly remember this gen for some amazing games, mostly PS4 exclusives.
Horizon Zero Dawn was amazing, as was PS$ Spiderman, God of War, TLOU2 etc...
Very forgetable. I don't think there are more than 5 games I'm going to remember, which is a shockingly low amount.
Mostly forgettable. I didn't enjoy most of the games people called amazing. Too many 3rd person open world games with very similar formulas for my liking. There were some great games, but I feel like the previous gen had more memorable games for me.
It's one of the reasons I want to get back into pc gaming. I miss good strategy games.
