[QUOTE="majadamus"] [QUOTE="PS3Compass"]Umm...wow. I clean my PS3 every week and would never let it look like that.player_leo
I dust my PS3 off everyday...but, still that thing could've probably been fixed.
You really dust your PS3? Thats a little anal. Well maybe if it was used to play games instead of a center peice maybe dust wouldn't gather on it. PS3 owners know about this. Xbox owers don't have to dust cause they actully play games on it so there is no time for dust to gather. Dust gathers on my picture frames cause I don't move them, are you saying that your PS3 is equivalent to a picture frame, just something to be looked at.
But to answerthe question, Yes Sony has the right to refuse this console. Who knows what kind of dust this is or where it came from. It could be asbestos, it could have mold. I myself have asthma, and this console screams asthma attack. If the system needs to be fixed because the dust got into the circuits then that would be user error / user misuse, and you would have to flip the bill not Sony. It's almost the same as me dumping a PS3 in some toilet water and saying "Is this to wet to be repaired under warranty? Think about it.
Dude EVERYTHING gathers dust. Its not like your consoles jumps around as you play video games it stays stationary all the time. I mean TVs gather tons of dust and they get used more then any other electronic out there. Using doesnt stop it from gather dust, you just have to maintain it.
