Is Uncharted 2 the new 'HALO'?

The hype has officially surpassed the general "Halo" hype.

People praise it to heaven before it's even out.

Reviewers love it.

People will soon love to hate it.

It makes the contrary side jealous.

Thanks to reviews - and word of mouth - it will achieve record sales.

Just like "Halo 3", people will still talk about this game two years after release, and it will be immensely popular then.

Uncharted 2 looks like its a good game, but does not deserve all this hype. Imo, the MP is just average, its not like its something completely new or anything and the only thing really going for it, is its SP.

No Uncharted game has outscored or outsold any Halo title (so far) .

if uncharted 2sells 10 mil after 2 years,every day 1 milion uniek players log into halo 3 after 2 years,every parent knows about it,been mantioned in movies, even non gamer girls knows about it then YESSSSS

Right back at ya. Why else would you make this thread? You've been longing for a game you can say has the pop culture draw of Halo. Ask non gamers in your life if they've heard of Uncharted. After ask them if they've heard of Halo, then Mario. Nobody I know who doesn't game has heard of Uncharted. It is, imo, the best PS3 title, and I can't wait for 2. But let's be real here.cainetao11

Even though I enjoyed Uncharted more than Halo 3, I can still acknowledge the fact that its sequel isn't close to becoming as popular as Halo.

DIFFERENCES:

- Only PS3 fanboys are hyping Uncharted 2. Most 360 owners don't care about it. Compare this to Halo where Halo threads sometimes get more cows posting in that thread than lemmings.

- Halo 3 made like $160 million first day on one console.... Uncharted 2 won't even get near that in a year.

- Halo sold the Xbox. In fact, Halo was known as a $350 game since you had to buy an Xbox (which was $300 at the time) to play it. As I said, only PS3 owners care about Uncharted (mostly).

- Halo heavily influenced the genre considerably... Uncharted doesn't influence anything but is influenced itself.

And many more.

Record sales? I doubt it. The hype is nowhere near Halo 3's hype. Where are the massive ad campaigns? Where are the game fuel drinks? Where are the action figures? I doubt there will even be a long line at gamestop for this game lol.
