Is Uncharted 2 the new 'HALO'?

DIFFERENCES:

- Only PS3 fanboys are hyping Uncharted 2. Most 360 owners don't care about it. Compare this to Halo where Halo threads sometimes get more cows posting in that thread than lemmings.

- Halo 3 made like $160 million first day on one console.... Uncharted 2 won't even get near that in a year.

- Halo sold the Xbox. In fact, Halo was known as a $350 game since you had to buy an Xbox (which was $300 at the time) to play it. As I said, only PS3 owners care about Uncharted (mostly).

- Halo heavily influenced the genre considerably... Uncharted doesn't influence anything but is influenced itself.

I can almost garauntee you that Uncharted 2 will not sell as much as Halo 3, nor will there be even close to as many people logging on for the multiplayer every week. In that sense, no, it is not the new Halo. In terms of hype, however, yea still a no, where are all the epic TV commercials as iconic as the Finish the Fight ones (including those done in live action). Uncharted isn't as well known yet, Halo is in its second generation of consoles. Maybe on the PS4, but definitely not now.

I think the only way for this to really happen, is, if not only do they have all that that the tc stated, but it really needs dev/community support, i think without something like forge pretty much any online can get old quickly. Thats really what makes halo 3 so popular is how, it always gets so much support, which is why people still talk about it years after. I can't see this happening with uncharted 2, the first didn't exactly last all that long, and i don't expect teh second one to too. Its mainly hype, and quality, but it lacks alot of what makes halo 3 to go back into all time, plus bungies support is unrivaled.

Look when it comes to UC2 . Yes aparently its a gd game and im goin to even play it jst to see what the fuss is about . But we also have to be realistic UC2 will never come close to the halo series . Allthishate

Only the dire 360 fanboys who think nothing that comes out on PS is good dont care about it. The fanboys, who either just prefer Xbox or can appreciate gaming as a whole will want Uncharted.

Halo belongs in the annals of gaming icons as it is a standout game on Xbox consoles and gaming in general for many years to come.

The regular Halo hate threads shows this kind of mentality is quite obvious and I gaurantee you there will continue to be many more Halo comparison threads when ever big games come out. "Will this game x kill Halo", "Halo is so generic" threads to come.

Incidently I'll be looking forward to try out out Uncharted 2 as Sony seem to be making quite some effort with their first party games.

Really Uncharted looks like a quality game. Maybe its nota personscup of tea, but there is quality in the development no matter what system is a persons favorite. Unfortunately i dont look forward to ODST, but thats because i dont care for Halo, but i still recognize the quality that has been incorporated in the games.

but all this attention Halo gets both good and bad only adds more fuel to the never ending fire with Halo fans and Halo haters.

Halo is a good game it's just now in this never ending battle between these two camps as one group cherishes and loves Halo and another sees it as an easy target and obvious Xbox game flagship to attack.

It's simple as that. Star Wars considered great by many can be equally criticized and hated by fans of Star Trek.

I just simply suggest that you do not get involved in this eternal struggle as fanboys will put you off gaming this for the sake of your gaming soul.LOL
