Seriously, it seems now that a game has to be innovative for it to be great.

In brief...

The gun gameplay is heaps of fun, the platforming is enjoyable enough and the graphics and cinematics live up to the hype, but both games are too short and easy, the cover system is finicky, the storyline is trite and Drake and the other characters are very annoying.

Despite how that sounds, I really liked Uncharted 2, but it's no masterpiece.

It's amazing. Easily one of the best games this generation.

it's undoubtedly one of the best games out there, but I still prefer AC2, with frigging Ezio Auditore da Firenze.

If you have PS3, you need Uncharted 2 in your collection.

The two things that make Uncharted 2 stand out for me were:
1) The excellent transition of gameplay and cinematics. At one second, you're inside a building thats falling trying to shoot the enemy and all of a sudden you're forced to jump through a window and a cinematic starts. The transitions are seemless and great.

2) Simply, no other shooter has the platforming aspect that Uncharted 2 has. In this aspect, I'm talking more of online play. The whole platforming things takes Uncharted to another level of strategy. Plus kicking someone in the face when you're above them on a ledge is pretty satisfying.

its not that it brings anything new to the table, but it brings all of the best elements of other games to the table, polishes them, polishes the table, and then gives you a cookie.

It's the best game on the PS3, and one of the best games this decade IMO.

I'm trying to figure out what this game brings to the table that other games haven't.

I just played through the first one (borrowed it from a friend), and it was awesome, should have been a AAA (was according to most websites as an average of 90%).

Just make sure your not the type to get frustrated and quite. That game drained my soul after I was done with it.

i think uncharted 2 is a very crappy game. the game graphics afre good and teh camera angles are amazing make u feel like your wATCHING A MOVIE BUT the gameplay is crap. shooting does not feel good and is not satisfying. online play is ok nothing special the gameplay is justr week very week. cover system is not responsive. drake moves jump and walks like a fa*.

Did you guys get that, it's offical because "Halo_Wars86" here says it'sa crappy game.

Mostly, it doesn't introduce anything vastly new when looking at other games, but it takes the best of a lot of games and genres and puts them together into an incredible experience. The only thing it really revolutionized was the cinimatic experience of games. It is nontheless, an amazing game and if you own a PS3, it is need to buy game.

It's a good game. It's just not as AMAZING as everyone make sit out.

It's the kidn fo game that you'll enjoywhilst playing it, but forget about it soon after. Nothing special, but a fun play.

I would have nominated it for GOTY, but ti certainly wouldnt have won, especially up against Demon Souls and Dragon Age.

Not much really in the field of originality, but everything it does is pretty much done perfectly!!
