Mass Effect has texture problems and frame rate dropping. So, no Mass Effect is garbage when it comes to graphics. Assassins Creed doesn't look better than Uncharted.

Actually Mass Effect has as good textures, FAR better lighting, shaders, NPC/hero models/shaders/textures, better shadows, better water and VASTLY better world design and huge spaces, that means it pushes like 10-20x the stuff Drake pushes, making PS3 look like really behind 360 IMO, at least for now

Also the PS3 GPU, is old gen comparing to 360 one, so it is obvious will have the best graphics by far, and a HUGE world due to more ram

You have obviously not played Uncharted yet. I would advise that you do so before you make posts such as this. ME is impressive considering the scope, but it doesn't even begin to touch Uncharted, especially in lighting, shading, NPC models, textures, shadows, water... I mean ALL of the areas that you said FAR better are teh fail. Better water? Shadows? You must be joking. Get into about chapter 7-8 of Uncharted and tell me about the graphics not being that special. I only wish every console game looked like it does. GTA looking as good as Uncharted with as solid a framerate would probably be an 11/10. They would have to make a whole new ranking system for it :P

For one I own both games and Assassins Creed does NOT look better! Plus this very site stated that the PS3 version runs at a smoother frame rate compared to the 360 version!

I actually think Mass Effect is incredible and I'm dying to get my hands on it, but if fanboys are going to attack Drake's Fortune, which is an amazing game from start to finish, I am going to throw the Mass Flop back in their face. I don't believe it when I say it, but sinking to fanboys levels is the only way to get anything accomplished around here.

It really isn't. Uncharted is the best-looking console game out there. Gears held it's place for a remarkably long time, but Uncharted has dethroned it.

Yes, Uncharted did look a bit better than all the 360 games out right now; however, a 360 game will look better than a PS3 game, and then a vice-versa. It doesn't really portray that the PS3 is more powerful than the 360 unless a PS3 game does something radically amazing and brilliant that can't be done on the 360 like how Crysis can't be done on the 360 or PS3. I doubt it will happen but who knows?

And what's with this "texture pop-in" I hear about in Uncharted? I know what texture pop-in is, it's rampant in Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect, but I can't remember seeing any in Drake's Fortune.

I can't believe I'm actually agreeing with you Sorrow :lol: If ever there was proof of this was God of War. A PS2 game that many said matched the visual calibur of Xbox games. And that came out SIX years after the launch of PS2.

I've been saying for months, the people who say X360's potential has been maxed after just ONE year are off their rocker. I kept hammering away with the simple historical fact, consoles always always ALWAYS continue to make advancements through out their ENTIRE life span. It never plateaus.

Or if it does plateau, it's only when the next gen model is out :)

The texture pop-in is there but very subtle! Like Sullies shirt not filling out for a split second after a cutscene.

Absolutely right. I hate to beat the GOW2 horse again, but it is the best example I can think of of a console really going above and beyond the call of duty in the final rounds, a la Rocky Balboa.

IMO, Uncharted looks better than any 360 game out right now. I have a 360, and I don't think any 360 game matches Uncharted in graphics. So has the power of the PS3 finally been unlocked?Baurus_1

I think this is a good thing because now MS can bring something even better to the table and it makes first and second party devs bring better games for each console to make everyone happy consumers.
