Is Wii the first console winning with the worst library?

So far it has a better libary then ps3 and xbox 360 more higher ranked games such as

Quality of library is very subjective. I own and Ps3 and a Wii, and I have far more Wii games. I didn't even bother with a 360.

Going back - PS2, PS1, SNES, NES, Atari 2600 - I don't think any of those had the worst library among their competitors? ... am I missing something or did Nintendo usher us into a new era, where gimmicks > games?

Your sig is one of the best Gifs I've ever seen. On topic, I'd say probably, yes. And that's definitely because of how well they infiltrated the non-gaming market with the Wii. There are boatloads of people (including my parents) who own a Wii, and literally don't use it for games. Ever. My parents have had a Wii in the house for like 3 years, and the only game they have with it is Wii Sports (because it came with it). They played Wii sports for a few months with my little sister, right after getting the thing, but pretty much never again. It still gets used constantly, though, for web-browsing and Netflix on the big living room TV.

I like Nintendo, but I actually kinda agree with this. A lot of good exclusives, but generall it's library is littered with awful games

and xbox is the best console with the best library.

In this case, not really. 360 vs. PS3 ranking is debatable. Wii? Not so much. It simply missed out on too many games in comparison to the others to be anything but third.

The system has great games, so if the gap in libraries wasn't so large it'd be back in the game, but that isn't the case.

i say its debateable because i could like just the wii library and dont really like the 360/ps3 library.

however i do like the 360/ps3 library all the wii needed to be was stronger

Yeah when you look at the overall number of good/great games on each console this gen, the Wii is far behind. Having said that, a lot of the multiplat games on the other two systems aren't anywhere near as good as some people claim on this board.

Games like Bioshock, Kingdom of Amalur, Final Fantasy XIII, GTAIV, Saints Row, Borderlands, Assassin's Creed and so on really do get inflated to where some posters become delusional in thinking they're better than most of the console exclusives, but they really aren't.

Oh yeah, that's fine, I just figured the OP was going for a more objective ranking since even in past gens there were people who liked the GC more than the PS2, the N64 more than the PS1, etc.

yea the wii falls flat im hoping the wiiu can turn that luck around, i would love to have systems on equal terms and just have them battle it out based on pure exclusives

I'm not... I'm hoping next generation they seperate a little. The Ps3/360 are too much alike no matter how much the fanboy's argue. It would suck to have another one of the same.

I never gave a crap about the PC in this, you did, because that's all you really had.

It's only come full circle to my original point that the Wii is of lower standards, and you have said nothing to change that. I don't care where the conversation went, only where its been.

Jealous of what, I have a Wii and loads of games on it. We do accept PS3/360 scores are affected by accepting the PC is of higher standards, don't act like we don't. And if we have to accept that, we have to acknowledge the Wii is of lower standards.
