Maybe it is childish compared, I'm a bit of a child in mind though so I really don't mind. I like all the consoles but in order of which Ihave enjoyed the most it would go 360, Wii PS3. In terms of what I think is the best it would go 360, PS3, Wii. As for the teenager part, fact is, teenager is too broad a label to get any type of competent answer especially around here. Maybe expand on your tastes a bit?
I play good games on either my ps3 or wii. If someone can't look past the graphics on the wii then sell it because your missing out on games that look childish, but are actually good.
i enjoy playing my wii the most for its unique and diverse exclusives,
i'm 24 and i've never owned a nintendo console prior to this so the BC is fantastic
when I was 14 I used to own a PSX and bash the 64 for being kiddy (until I actually played it) now I realize I was in an adolescent phase
Many of the high profile games on the HD consoles appeal most strongly to 12 year olds.
So no. I find the HD consoles a lot more annoying in that respect. There is nothing childish about stylized games, friendly approaches, or the decision of putting concept over cutscene.
I guess it's childish since it calls me names when I don't use it. :P
No I don't think it's too childish, just because it caters to a younger and wider audience. You could say the same thing about the DS since it has a large young fan base, but it's certainly not a childish handheld based on the variety in the library.
yeahh it is a lilchildish but u gotta think that most of the games on the system are family oriented games and the wii is ment for smaller kids and casual gamer and its a family system and the wii trys to have something for everybody cause i have one and i lplay madworld haha and thats one of the most brutal games outthere
It isn't too childish for me. It is just to last gen for me and on top of that, I don't like the controller. I would rather spend money on my PS2 than buy a Wii.
I don't think of the Wii as childish (I think it's more universal), but even if it was, why do you have to compare it to 360 and PS3? If those two fill the "hardcore" niche, what's wrong with a consoles that's not as "mature"? 360 and PS3 offer very similar experiences, so what's wrong with the Wii being a different experience?
[QUOTE="IIRS3II_H1TMAN"]In my opinion yes, the Wii is more childish than the Xbox and PS3, I can't see anyone being a hardcore gamer on the Wii.ActicEdge
Why not? What defines hardcore exactly?
The definition of a hardcore is a gamer who spends a lot of time in gaming and appreciates all forms or shape of gaming regardless of graphics, in which he/she likes the Wii as well, so as PC games. The definition of an elitist gamer, are gamers who spent a lot of time in gaming as well, but he/she believes that he/she have a entitled belief that his opinion on gaming is absolute or superior than others. Who does not recognized other kinds of gaming, only his own. Ignorant and Arrogant. They also define as fanboys.thats pritty immature only an idiot would assume such a temperament of an entire social groupthats pritty immature, only americans would consider a console to be mature lol

The Wii has several games with an 18 rating on them and this is even more common with the PS3 and 360. However the mature games are not neccersarily games with an 15 or 18 rated certificate. A perfect example of this is GTA Chinatown Wars, it is colourful has a limited story and you get to blow stuff up. A mature game in my opinion is something like The Legend Of Zelda TP which an immature child or someone with a low concentration span who is keen on action would get bored of fast. The same with Okami both Zelda and Okami are mature games and are both on the Wii.
However if you just want to destroy stuff buy prototype,,,
i don't see the wii childish at all. i see nintendo as the pixar of the gaming industry, they make child/cartoony looking games that are amazing and can be enjoyed by all. that takes something special to make something that applies to all audiences.
the 360/ps3 might have more adult feeling games, but games like gta4 and gears of war are just as childish as madworld. lot's of blood in a ridiculous over the top setting.
IMO, i think more kids play 360 then Wii. whenever i join a game in halo3 there is always a kid playing.
yeah i have to agree with you on this because little kids are trying to pretend there mature while adults know that games are for fun and not feeling olderIMO, i think more kids play 360 then Wii. whenever i join a game in halo3 there is always a kid playing.

Yeah that is very true...i know more adults that play Wii then little kids...I know more Kids that play 360 and PS3 than kids who play the wii!
don't say americans say allot of americans because theres also allot of americans that dont care about what we are talking about in this post never assume that a whole nation thinks the same way seriouslythats pritty immature, only americans would consider a console to be mature lol

ya! Thats like saying All Australians have a pet Alligator!...Except that is more true!
As an adult, the only fun time I have playing my Wii is when I'm trashed. As a long time gamer, I'm looking for more depth in the games I play...the same way you would want more depth in an adult movie than a kids movie.Zoso-8I bought a wii in 2007 tried to enjoy it but ended up switching on my 360 and playing call of duty 4.
I am a teacher in a inner-city highschool. The most popular system among the students are the Xbox 360. Among the teachers the Wii is the most popular by far. After the Wii, more adults in my school own the PS3 then the 360. I am sure that if you go to really young age group the Wii probably becomes popular again but the reality is that the majority of the 360 owners (and to a lesser extent the PS3 owners) are school-aged. You go to a group of 14 year olds and the 360 rules supreme.
Really though, Wii Fit and Brain Training are much more "mature" titles then Halo 3 or God of War 3 despite what the rating on the box says.
I gotta say, I just hate Wii in general. It was ok while it lasted but I'm sick of it. As a teenager, I can't say it's a good system if you aren't under 14. Preference can say otherwise but my experience with the Wii has been annoying and dissapointing. sonicthemegamanYeah, in my experience teens don't like the Wii. Adults generally do, but they have to get past the stage of needing to maintain a cool image.
