it's just like 500 gb 5400 rpm hdd vs 7200 rpm 300 gb hdd lol.
lol the 7200 rpm can access stuff faster but it still cant hold as much information.
Same deal with 8gb gddr5 vs 16gb ddr3.

8gb gddr5 holds less information than 16gb ddr3. go read what i posted above. How many hermits have 8GBs of GDDR5?
Probably zero of you

Consolites shouldn't talk specs. Only makes them look stupid.

Hermits are so stupid. It's amazing how gullible they are to hype hardware they don't know anything about!Probably not, but I'm not one to justify my purchase based on the tech.
As long as PCs get 10x the amount of games that consoles do then I'll be buying myself a PC no matter the cost required.
256 mb sr-ram is better than 64 mb ddr1 sure the ddr is faster but it doesnt have the capacity lol you run out of space.

That's what it says on the box/CPUz etc. Maybe I should have gone to specsavers?[QUOTE="MonsieurX"][QUOTE="nextgenjoke"]Name me a game that uses more than 4gb of ram Name me a game built for pc with high budget since crysis 2007. I hope you're not confusing hard drive space with RAM.
The highest RAM usage I've had while running a game is 4.76Gb and that's while running Crysis 3 in a window. Assume Windows have 1.5Gb of that. That's still only 3.26Gb.
turok the dinosaur hunter and star wars shadows of the empire and need for speed 1994 are part of the first true multiplats lol
they dont take advantage of pc when it comes to how many miles long a level is lol
 no one is buying the ps4 for the hardware, but the games. of course the specs suck to high end pc's. so what! the games will be bomb azz and thats what everyone cares about.
pc main memory advantage more gigabytes allows for larger levels than whats possible on a console if they take advantage of it.
Same with video card memory advantage thats what they do take advantage of because they're console ports.

I thought it was common knowledge that the all-mighty cell funnels Blu-Ray storage into RAM. So Blu-Ray discs essentially function like external RAM.No.
Have a HD 5850 (with only 1GB of dat GDDR5 super ramz!), Phenom X4 840, 4GB RAM.
It runs most games fine, but won't handle next gen.
Really sad people have to mortgage their house to even think about competing with the PS4's 8GBs of GDDR5.
P.S. I hope you hermits are enjoying Sim City

Total War Series, SWTOR, Star Citizen, Guild Wars 2, etc etc
[QUOTE="nextgenjoke"][QUOTE="MonsieurX"] You didn't answer, don't see any name of a gameMonsieurXyou cant take advantage of pc cpu main memory advantage if you are designing to run on a 512 mb console. Name the game bro Do it or leave the forums You dont even understand what im talking about. lol crysis 3 levels werent made too big in size so they wouldnt run on ps3/360 ........the size of the level how far you can travel without loading another level is caused by console memory restrictions.
