Is Zelda OOT in your opinoin still the best game ever?

Its not my favorite game ever, but its my best game ever still. It is the most revolutionary game there will ever be. And the mechaniccs used in it are still in many many games today. I like TP and a couple other games a little more, but its still the best game ever

I replayed the game about 3 months ago and had a blast, so imo I don't see why it isn't the best game ever made or at least one of them. If I can still get that much enjoyment out of a 12 year game then there is something special about it.

Absolutely best game ever. Still replay it ever so often.

Doesn't matter as SS is going to take the nr 1 spot, and OoT 3DS the second place!

Games from the past have to be pretty simplistic to hold up to todays standards. Games like Tetris and Puzzle Bobble are still great today. Games in early 3D do not age well at all. Zelda OoT is not the game it once was, it certainly isn't the best game ever, games are getting better every generation.

Whoever said Civ 2 though, that's a game which does hold up today and can be considered one of the best ever, still.

It is a fantastic game, but very far from best... not even top-25. Majora's Mask and A Link to the Past were/are better games.

it's a very good game, but there are better. i like majora's mask more.

Its been over a decade since the groundbreaking Ocarina of Time, Have standards gotten to high or is it still the best game ever.

IMO I bought mastersquest today and I always wanted to play oot since i was 8 yet I had the stratgey guide and not the game. I have always considered super mario 64 my favorite game of anything. And I am utterly been amazed at how well this holds up to today. Its just amazing I wonder why Zelda Tp couldent be this challenging. the enemies you have to actually try and the bosses are EPIC. Why did zelda tp have to be so easy?

It never was the best game ever in my opinion. Super Metroid was my favorite game before it came out, and continued to be until Majora's Mask came out.

Yes, IMO.

After HD gaming and widescreen tv's, going back and playing any N64 game is almost unbearable. But it did give me the most magical feelings when it came out in 1998. But the 3DS version will make me buy a 3DS most likely.
