It wouldn't be much of a stretch to call Resident Evil 5 the best looking game.

Listen, I have never, ever made a topic about technical graphics before. But really, whenever I see a debate between which game has the best graphics, I don't see Resident Evil 5 brought up as much. I mean, the game looks really damn good. The large scale is so impressive, and everything is detailed as hell. Chris Redfield's shirt is amazing. If you think the developers didn't care about this game and were just trying to cash inon Resident Evil 4's success, just look at Chris' shirt to be proven wrong. BioShockOwnz agrees with me.

Its so pretty, that's for sure. I think it looks fantastic and can be in the top 5 for sure console wise.

anyways, RE5 is 2nd place in graphics. killzone 2 is better. i thought that this was resolved a long time ago.

Fuel will be tech king with about 5600sq mile gamespace, dynamic weather effects, etc.

Maybe for consoles it would be one of the best looking games.

RE5 is the best looking. I prefer my games to be clean and crisp not filled with blur that covers the garbage textures.

Uh oh. I sense trouble brewing. (Runs for cover RE5 FTW. Punches hole in boulder and hides in it)

The cutscenes are by far the most amazing looking in engine realtime cutscenes ive ever seen! Textures, animations, little touches, camera angles, its all there.

But the gameplay, i don't know, the levels feel quite static and the colour just seems abit off.Id say Farcry 2 looks better for the actual gameplay on a console and its set in Africa so its the closest comparison i can think of.

Maybe for consoles it would be one of the best looking games.

Maybe it was because I was playing the PS3 version, but when I played the RE5 demo, I wasn't impressed at all. There was something about the art design that I just didn't like. I think Killzone 2 is the best looking console game out there.

Na, KZ2 is a lot more impressive tech wise, particle effects, physics, special fx, lighting, alot more stuff going on. Not to mention it looks just as amazing in MP and RE5 simple coop looks downgraded. It's one thing to like a game more cause it's more your "style" but tech wise I really don't see how RE5 outdoes KZ2.

I wouldn't say the best, but it's definitely up there.

I still vote Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank best looking console games.

I think Red Faction Guerilla will soon be the technical graphics king for consoles.

Chris' and Shiva's models are great. However the enemies and the environment are rather lackluster in comparison. Low-res textures, low-poly models, etc. Plus they're not dynamic at all, so there's really no excuse there.

Technically, I really couldn't say. I played RE5 on the Xbox 360 and I found the overall look of it to be slightly more consistently impressive than KZ2. It's extremely clean looking with highly detailed textures, amazing bosses and I never noticed any slowdown. KZ2 has really nice lighting, especially in the latter stages. Out of the best looking console games I've played - Uncharted, KZ2, Gears of War 2, RE5, it's hard to pick which looks better than which, but I feel RE5 tops the list by a tinsy bit.

You won't see textures like Gears/K2/uncharted. When you say best looking you should consider everything, and those games are K2, Uncharted, Gears 2. bioshock...etc. Slambo86

KZ2's amazing graphics comes from other elements, not textures

and I don't know what version you played but RE5 does have bump mapping, and good textures
