It's funny how 360 fans have got on the cod4 graphics bandwagon while the graphics are good there not as good as killzone 2 graphics, the funny thing is it's a multiplat game as well but you have to hype something because halo just cant compete in the graphics department, the sad thing is you convince yourself cod4 has better graphics just so you dont have to admit sony has the best console graphics game that is only going to be on ps3, if the roles were reversed and killzone 2 was coming out on the 360 you would all be screaming how amazing the game looks.bigLLL

Yeah.. I keep telling Cows & Hermits alike that graphics are pretty much meaningless if the game plays like crap. They never listen though. It wasn't just the graphics that was bad on Killzone 1, it was also the gameplay. This is the problem I has GT5 as well. Sure the game looks incredible, but the gameplay has gotten stale and boring over the last 5-6 years. At least they are adding online play now, but still no damage. Forza 2 is awesome due not only to the graphics, but all the features, options and game modes. Plus it has online and damage which effects your gameplay. GT5 needs to deliver more besides better graphics.

Counterstrike : Source and Half-Life 2? Supreme Commander, Age of Empires 3, Company of Heroes. The PC is king of 'gameplay'.

Also, I'M hyped for CoD4 because it looks like it will be a blast to play. Not because I have some childish and immature urge to see another console succeed over the other or not. That's easy for you to say. I'm sure you have some sort of super gaming computer that puts all 3 current gen consoles to shame, but what about the little guy? The guy who owns only one console cause he cant afford to upgrade every 6 months. I love PC gaming as much as the next guy but I dont understand why it must always be considered in every console argument when it has a automatic unfair advantage.

But you know, you're right. My biggest flaw is that I don't have enough concern for the little guy you speak of.

call of duty 4 looks impressive, but personally im not that interested in that game. my feelings toward the game might change once it is out. i like how the 4th installment doesnt revolve around ww2 since i was getting tired of ww2 games. i wasnt a big console fan when it came to fps games, but seems like this gen they have improved. I played COD games before they were good, but my personal favorite in the past has been medal of honor allied assault (pc). moh games on consoles sucked for me and was a huge downgrade.

killzone 2 trailer was great. Still im skeptical about it cause of their previous games. graphically looks nice, but how will the gameplay be (i rather wait and see how it turns out). im not a fan of killzone, but if kz2 ends up being a good game that i end up liking i will pick it up. its going to be a while until this game is released. doesnt bother me cause there are a lot of great games coming out soon.

maybe ppl like the call of duty games? or some new to the cod game were impressed with the 4th instalment. im sure some are just using it as defense like how you are suggesting, but you have to admit from what they shown us so far it looks impressive.

apparently when IGN seen the game in action they said it was not quite up to gears level. But close.

Killzone 2 does look pretty damn good but COD4 overall seems to have better effects like smoke and fire which overall gives it a more solid look. Guerrilla defiantly needs to work on the particle effects a lot cause thats what stuck out to me the most as being the worst part of the trailer.

On a side note Halo 3 does not compete in visuals because it has a different art-style. COD4 and Killzone have the basic idea of going for Realism in a sense where as Halo 3 is totally colourful and has a more bright colour palette than the both of them. KZ2 and Halo 3 just are not comparable when it comes to visuals since they are totally different directions.

Because it's more colourful than an episode of the teletubbies and the graphics look about 5 years behind killzone 2
