Nintendo made a flattened Gamecube with motion controls, and it turned out to be a money printer. There's really nothing to bash.
Some people just prefer gaming with a standard joypad. And some people dislike the lack of HD support.
But like last gen, Nintendo has failed to attract many third-party devs. However, the Wii's exclusive lineup is superb.
I don't see that much Wii bashing. Even if I did, there's really no need to make a three-sentence topic about it.
There's really nothing to discuss.

It has some great exclusives, but it misses out on a lot of multiplats. It's a perfect console to compliment a HD console or a PC.

PC?
If you have a PC powerful enough to make Wii games look like this on an emulator, you would have no use for a Wii:
Xenoblade got the highest reviews of any JRPG this gen.I'm pretty sure everyone's looking forward to its lineup next year!

Xenoblade? If you count it as a 2012 American "exclusive." It has already been released this year in other parts of the world.
And yes, it is a fine game that deserves its critical acclaim.

It's funny how people list the game both as a 2011 and 2012 game
And one game? seriously?
wasn't Xenoblade a principle reason why so many people were upset with Nintendo? Was it this game or another one where they weren't even planning on releasing it in NA at all?PraetorianMan
That's the one. It turned out to be utterly fantastic, and NoA decided to troll NA. It seems to be coming as a GS exclusive now.
The Wii-U will, hopefully, be what the Wii should've been for me. I agree, it works as a great compliment console, but the Wii missed out on way to many of the good Multiplats this gen.

I agree. It's just that, for me, The Wii was deprived of a lot of the best franchises this gen (Assassin's Creed, Batman: Arkham, Left 4 Dead, Mass Effect) so I can agree with TC that the Wii has the best library. :P

lol, my Wii is just there for the occasional Nintendo game that comes out that i actually want to play. Worthwhile releases are pretty rare on it, while multiplats make them plentiful on PS3/360/PC.Do you know why no one bashes the PS3 2012 lineup?
Because you can't bash it without making yourself look dumb when you look at your console's lineup

Getting my PS3 made me realize just how much I feel the HD twins library is overated.
Really? I can understand it not being for everyone. Personally, I play my HD systems more, but my Wii is great for some of the exclusives.
I don't even know what anyone's 2012 lineup is. Last of us, Heart of the Swarm? If we're lucky, maybe a Company of Heroes 2? British and Japanese factions in WoT?Do you know why no one bashes the PS3 2012 lineup?

I like these systems don't get me wrong but straight up honesty with you, after how much people told me I was missing this gen with just a Wii, now going through the twin lineup I cannot for the life of me figure out why U2 is "the best of gen" or why I want to play 1 of 3 versions of bioshock. I don't give a shiit about those types of games. They were never the types of games that made me love gaming, light hearted games were always what I enjoyed with an emphasis on gameplay over EVERYTHING. You could hand me a PSP and I wouldn't struggle to find games I want to play like I am with the PS3. They exist but its not the same. The system is a perfect compliment to my wii, its a great system but these god tier multiplats. . . well I stopped adoring bro games when I turned . . . well I "never" adored bro games to begin with, lets put it like that.

There's nothing unreasonable about all that. I love a lot of the exclusives and multiplats, though there are certainly some I could leave well enough alone.
I do love some light-hearted games every once in a while. It's refreshing.

It looks really middling to be honest. The Last Guardian is the only game on the list that is a sure fire buy.
