Id say 2019. That would allow a 10 tflop gpu and a proccessor with Ryzen cores for an affordable price.

Ps5 is not needed right now but Japan would love ps4 more if it was portable. Ps4 portable version extending the ps4 family might do better then the pro. Add a hdr screen and hype it Sony style based on that lol. That hdr Monster Hunter world and Dragon quest on the go, Japan would go nuts.

PS5 won't arrive before Fall 2020, but probably won't be later than that either.

The hardware won't be based on current Zen or upcoming Zen+ or Vega GPU architecture.

7nm Zen 2 (8 cores, 16 threads) and Navi GPU with at least 12 TFlops.

As for RAM, no less than 24 GB GDDR6.
