It's hard to appreciate any video games's graphics after playing Uncharted 2...

I like pretty graphics as much as the next person, but when you start to discover you like games less because other games had better graphics, there's something wrong with the industry. Perhaps, despite all my bashing, we need the Wii just to remind people that it's not all about graphics.jalexbrown

i totally agree, liking a game less because it has worse graphics really ticks me off about gamers this gen, not every game has to look as good as UC2 in order for it to be good.

Dude I know. I jumped into MW2 right after uncharted2 and it was very noticable. First off, MW2 the texture resolution isn't as good an the shadow mapping in MW2 is down right janky compared to the nice crisp shadows of Uncharted 2.

Haha I know what you mean, ive been watching NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL all on HD and one time I had to watch an NBA game to a standard feed because the HD feed i not available and oh man I could not stand it.

Some of the house/building interiors in UC2 were breathtaking. I had to just stop at a few of them and kind of bask in the ambiance for a while. Especially the rooms in the buildings from chapter 5 and 6. Incredible detail and color. And the lighting was rediculously well done.

Yes in a way, but it is easier though to appreciate Replay Value after playing Uncharted 2.

it makes me think other developers are not trying as hard anymore, like back 10-15 years ago. they put alot of hard work into this game..

the TC didnt really say that he hasnt enjoyed MW2 because of its graphics, All hes implying is that he cant appreciate the graphics of other games (MW2), as much as u2.

i really have to agree, i even start to compare sometimes, the graphics, trees, surroundings, to other games. But i still have fun with the game. in fact i havent even touched U2 since Mw2 came out. And i havent even beaten U2.

Yup, exactly. By no means am I shallow, I own a Wii and still play Dreamcast.

The zealous fanboys or Uncharted 2's visualsare so mindbogglinglysilly. Yes, it's the best looking console game out there. No, that doesn't take anything away from beautiful well-done visuals in other games, especially when you consider that there's a variety of visual styles and atmospheres that should be appreciated on their own merits. It's not like Uncharted 2 is on another level something. It's just the best within the visual level that Ps3/360 are at.

This is just another stupid way of bragging about Uncharted 2's visuals. MightI suggest you make a thread on what you liked about Uncharted 2's visuals instead of sitting there diminishing games that are really not that far off in visual prowess. It's not like Uncharted 2 is Crysis or something.

Ok we get it, UC2s graphics are good. Move on. Honestly, when Crysis came out those ZOMG CRYSIS GRAPHICS PWN! lasted honestly a week or two. I always see UC2 graphics are godly! now. Like seriously, the graphics are good, we get it. Move on.

I would like to add, i have yet to see one thread praising the gameplay over its graphics... Which in the end is what matters most.

Those words mean anything to you? The title of this thread says ANY GAME which includes the PC.

Now, who cares if people keep bringing up Crysis, it only gets brought up because it's by far the most graphically impressive game out there right now. There are plenty of games we could name that look better than Uncharted 2, but Crysis is just clearly the best.

I agree with you. I was just blown away by U2, but as with all the other games I've played with fantastic graphics, I still always find myself going back to the great classics of the old days. IMO you can't have new games without the old, and vice-versa.
