I played it on 360 and liked it !!! Now i am playing it on insane so wont buy the PC version !!!dont CARE!5th_element
No, but  about 80% of PC gamers do.

And many lems are probably pissed that its lost its exclusiveness to PC.

since Epic says you'll need the best PC from a year AFTER UT3 comes out to play the game maxxed I'd assume it would be the same with Gears so no a $700 PC wont do hell, a $700 GPU set up wont do

I was being sarcastic :| Though I did just spend $2500 on a computer 6 months ago and I plan on dropping ~$1500-2000 on an upgrade this summer

Err...$2500 6 months ago now another $1500-2000? I spent $1300(australian) 6 months ago and won't need to upgrade for atleast another year. You need to find a new place to buy your hardware. :lol:

Probablility of that happening were even higher than GeOW comming to PC...

Yes the 360 will get more exclusives - but unfortunatly quite the bunch are always PC bound ;)

Well, that's enough misinformation.  I have news for you bud, my present PC is more powerful than the Xbox 360.  I built it myself for $1500.00.  It contains:

  • EVGA nVidia 8800 GTX
  • EVGA 680i motherboard
  • Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 overclocked to 2.933
  • 1 Gig of Dual Channel DDR2 800 Patriot RAM

Here's a news flash: you'll need to upgrade your Xbox 360 before I need to upgrade my PC.

And yes, yes, I know the Xbox only cost 400-500 bucks.  But your games cost more, my PC does more, and it games better than your Xbox.

The only reason GoW isn't on the PC is because Microsoft is paying for it to be that way.  Same for Halo, Halo2, and everyother PC developer MS has payed to release the game to Xbox first.

The Xbox 360 has no secret hidden power.  It certainly is not more powerful than current PC hardware.   The games that are released on the Xbox 360 are delayed to PC because MS wants it that way, not because the PC doesn't have the power to play them.

Got some more bad news too.  GoW required the full power of the Xbox 360.  Your games aren't going to get any better for the next 3 years.  Too bad you don't have a good PC.

Umm no.

The 360 dosent have Dx10 - so were gaurenteed GeOW will look the same - probaly better on PC with Dx9.
And considering UT3 will be getting Dx10 - GeOW on PC will probably be getting Dx10 features - somthing console gamers will never have.

So UT3 on console is a medium settings, at 1280 X 720 resolution - with Dx9 only
A 6800 Ultra is capable of the same thing.... Thats a 3 year old card..
And weve seen how good the 7800GTX pics are...

UT on PC is capable of the higest ball breaking settings, on mega resolutions, with Dx10 - if you have an 8800 GTS, GTX or 8600.

So I guess GeOW PC will run well on a 6800, even better on a 7800, and whip it on a 8600 / 8800, at higher resolutions, finer detail, more settings than the 360 version - and DX10 visual effects.
Not to mention GeOW compared to UT3 isnt as graphically stressful, so im guessing it will run better than UT3.
Add the proposition of better multiplayer, modifications and proper updates.... Its obivius the PC version will cream the console one. But its got to the end of the year to come out :?

Its funny because when we 'experience games fully', what are console gamers experiencing visually?
I mean the Dx9 cards and yor Dx9 360 must not properly give you a true 'experience' acordding to your logic. Furthermore, your saying that the 360 will never be able to have the 'full visual experience' :lol:

First GOeW does not require the full power fo the 360, if you watch console gaming, programmers are always able to make games look better and better as the years go on.

Second, if the console has a standard life of five to six years, you WILL need to update your computer before I update my Xbox, unless your content with a low end PC in about 2 to 3 years, you of all people should know how fast technology moves in the PC realm

Third, Is Geow coming to the PC suprising at all, its microsoft, the PC butters thier bread, for PC gamers to try to shove it in the face of 360 owners is immature and childish, the 360 and PC are made to compliment each other. The pc is powerful, but diffrent than a console, also don't look at the specs of a console and try to compare it to a PC, it does not work like that, the Console is a focused machine built for one purpose, the PC is a general format made to handle a variety of tasks, so a console easily gets better performace from less power than a PC can.

This argument is over, instead of PC gamers trying to make this a negative somehow, lets be happy that more dedicated gamers get to enjoy this game, besides, its not like its coming to PS3, lol
