Really, because the people didn't give Journey GOTY on Gamespot's People's Choice Awards and Gameinformer (a non-biased newsgroup) gave Mass Effect 3 GOTY and Machinima gave Halo 4 GOTY.

Doesn't matter if the PS3 outsold the Xbox 360. The Xbox has superior graphics, downloads faster, and a better designed controller that doesn't feel like a cheap piece of plastic. Five people can be playing five different games and still communicate with ease through a headset, PS3 cannot. Then there's the master of how virus prone the PS3 is and how the Playstation Network crashed a few years ago. The Nintendo 3DS has already outsold the PS3 in 2 years. I'm no Nintendo junkie, but they seem to know the industry better than Sony or Microsoft. Microsoft is the youngest of the three major companies and it will pull ahead of Sony.

None of us are shareholders.....is it going to effect your enjoyment of your system if it's a few million behind another? No it will not. If it does then you have problem.

At least tracking something is better then pulling something out of thin air using statistics.There's probably a decent margin of error for those numbers.
