Isn't it obvious? We all know that Samus owns Master Chief anyway... It's not really fair though because that's just how they were made... Master Chief is just an advanced soldier while Samus is a one man (woman...) army.
Gordon Freeman destroys both, a scientist, who started off in the first game with a crow bar and a mere anti-radiation suit, goes on to fight hordes of creatures and an entire army, single handedly.
idk what you guys are thinking. samus looks like a lame action figure. something that you would pull out of a cereral box. crappy character design and samus is in like 8 colors. lame.
some cool characters are solid snake, sam fisher, ryu hayabusa, marcus fenix, and of course master chief. even the arbiter from halo 3 is cool. didn't like him in halo 2.
Besides, how good can a character be when they forget every power they had a little while ago?

I don't really think thats the same at all :P different lead yes, but also usually different time, world, etc, its mostly just the same universe, if it wasn't for mogs and chocobos being in every title, every FF could have a different title and no one would complain about them being too similar, Samus is the same character in every game :P

The Metroid franchise may not be as popular as the Halo one these days but it doesn't prevent Samus and co to kick some serious ass. If Samus Aran and the Doomguy had a baby it would probably be Master Chief. The funny thing is though that even ...though....Samus is a chick Master Chief if half the man she is.

If this is a "who would win in a fight" poll then I would have to say Master Chief.
Samus would take the entire fight to get back all her weapons. By then MC would have found at least one rocket launcher to shoot at her.

Samus' first weapon is also her most powerful weapon. Master Chief starts with a rifle with a few clips. Samus starts with a charge-up bazooka with infinite ammo.
just use that octocam to blend into the wall and stealth kill...use his snake eyepatch thingy as a thermal readout...

What does Snake start with? Master Chief has his Mjolner(SP?) armor....no simple handgun or knife would last long vs a guy with that armor and an assault rifle.
And anyway the fact Samus keeps losing her powerups for no reason doesn't mean anything, I could say MC would lose easily because he starts with no weapon or shield in Combat Evolved.

Yeah but she is practically a one shot kill at that point. MC starts with nice energy shields from the get go, and a grenade or two.

1st off snake uses stealth...and 2ndly he has like a bazillion weapons in the demo at least...
even so if he sneaks up behind MC he doesnt have a chance in hell...neck snap/ball grab...
If Samus and Master Chief started off with no special weapons, MC would still get destroyed. That punk @$$ machine gun isnt going to do anything to Samus. And those grenades can be avoided by use of morph balling away.

Samus gets killed by insects when she starts off..... how could a machine gun not finish her?
