No, the timing is not right to sell your 360. If that were to ever happen, it would be in 2010 but I'm doubting that.

95% of multiplats have been better on the 360. It's more reasonble to expect that trend to continue than to not to.

And no console is "maxed out". It's a silly suggestion. As best-practices are learned and developers get more and more comfortable with the hardware, better and better things can be done.

Except that developers understood the X360 hardware from the beginning a big advantage MS touted. That's why early X360 games looked so good. It's also why you've barely seen any increase over Gears.

You stated that I tried to use FC2 as something 'special', tha it was exclusive to the 360. I didn't. Don't tell anyone to 'stay with you' when you weren't even on the right track to begin with.

im also thinking about selling my 360. there are no games i want except for GeoW2 which im sure will eventually hit pc. these games i have for 360. i have halo3(which suck imo since im spoiiled with awesome pc FPS), bioshock (which if i sell my 360 i can just buy it on my pc, i bought a good pc rig about 2 months ago, i have forza 2(i didnt find forza to be all that great considering how hyped it was, i honestly prefer gran turismo, but maybe thats becuz im so accutomed to gt, this is dabatable i'll give you that), i have dead rising (i love this game no problem here), i have oblivion (i hated this game and it can be found on ps3 and pc also, i have cod4 for 360 and pc (after i got the pc version i never played the 360 version again, i should just sell), i have mass effect for pc no point in bringing that up (im starting to get bored of it btw, i dont think the pc version deserved AAA status either). I also have lost planet which i liked but it is also multiplat. and lastly I have GeoW 1, which can also be found on pc. oh before i forget i plan on buying NG2. so only 2 games are keeping me from selling the 360, but i constatnly ask myself is it really worth keeping. im honestly thinking about renting ng2, beating the heck out of it, and then just wait for GeoW2 to show up on pc eventually, i really dont mind waiting. i may just sell my 360 with all my games, and pick up a ps3 since i really want mgs4 and its upcoming games

that seems a bit biased dont you think. Its rather up to the person what they like better in terms of gameplay. But what i think the OP is saying is games are graphically improving on sonys side. I used to agree 100% with you on the fact that graphics dont matter, but were in 2008 "next gen" graphics should be standard, and MS and Sony are up to date, however uncharted and mgs4 deleived beyond standard, and it seems like sony is pushing the standard up. This argument doesn't make a whole lot of technical sense. Maxing out a piece of hardware as complicated will not be done outside of a perfect world.

As for Gears of War, that games graphics look like plastic trash. I've seen better graphics on PS2 games. I would say that a lot of games have passed Gears in terms of graphics.

You are right that the PS3 is capable, and does produce better graphics than the 360. After playing MGS4, it is clear that the PS3 is actually more capable than I thought it was.

Gears looks better than every console game. It doesn't show that the xbox 360 is weak, it is simply a testament to how brilliant Epic is at making graphics with UE3. Gears 2 will reset the bar for console graphics.jbz7890

No..you know next to nothing. Xbox 360 has the best games now and will continue to improve its catalog. The ps3 just got a great game...wow. Lets not over react people. And no the xbox 360 is not maxed out. Go learn something please.pilotc

People who have a 360 and have owned it for more than 4 months have experienced the high point in its career. The 360 is now maxed out. Gears 1 is still the best looking 360 title(I dare anyone to show a better looking title) and all the games hyped to have better graphics(NG2, Halo and ME) underdelivered in the graphics front, while the PS3 graphics keep on improving. And now we see that gears 2 is like one but more colourful, not improving on the textures, shaders or overall detail. Upcoming games(Bajo 3, Too human) looks sub par, and every PS3 exclusive keeps getting better and better, with Unchartered passing gears and GT5: P and MGS4 blowing it away. Since multiplats are now better on the PS3(DMC4, GTA 4), its now time to sell your 360 as you can't get anything more out of it.
