Its simply so MS can continue to rip off and fleece their users with recharable battery packs like with the 360 controller. 360 fans have proved this whole generation they really dont mind being treated like scum by MS so why would they stop now.

All i'll say is you'd have to be mad to actually want to buy the new console.

I'm going from personal experience, so I love having an internal rechargeable battery. It charges, quick, holds a charge for a long time, and I haven't had to replace my controller because of a dying battery. That thing is made to last.

So, yeah, I'd prefer not to have to use AA batteries, it seems so archaic. What other consumer device requires AA batteries? It's bad, cheap design philosophy. I can see you like the option, but for me, I'd rather have it like Sony did with DS3, internal.

These are just off the top of my head, feel free to add.

• Online DRM (so you can play without a disc dor authentication and share games with your family)
• Forced online check ins every 24 hours (So you can share games with your family on other consoles but only one playing at a time)
• Used game restrictions / policies (Sucks, but steam doesn't even have used digital games, so its ahead of them still)
• Kinect required / mandatory (my kinect on 360 is always plugged in too, scary!)
• $499 (360 launched at that price which really is not a bad price, just sony went cheaper to appeal to the market more)
• Xbox Live required to play games online and use media features like Netflix (PS+ required to play games online too)
• Controllers use AA batteries (lol) (I prefer batteries over recharging a controller)
• You rent games rather than buy games yet still pay full price (What are you talking about here?)
• You're forced to trade in games to Gamestop (this point does suck but again, even steam doesnt resell digital games)
• Can't lend games to friends (This is wrong, you can have 10 people on your family list whom all have access to your games on any console)
• No headset included (kinect is a mic, it is included)
• No accessory backwards compatibility (wait, does PS4 do this? Did 360 allow xbox controllers? ps3 use ps2 controllers? nope.)
• No backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 games (PS4 can't play PS3 games, and this gen cant really play last gen games either)
• Arcade Games from the Xbox 360 don't carry over to the Xbox One (this could change, but it does suck)
• The Xbox One will become a brick in 10+ years (Doubt it, LIVE uses the same servers for x1 as 360 so they will be around for a long time)
• Games will be unplayable in the future and become the equivalent of old PC games with no CD-Keys (same point as the one right before?)
• The system is huge and ugly (yes, yes it is!)
• The Kinect is huge and ugly (somewhat, but not as bad as the box)
• Privacy is an issue - Always Watching, Always Listening (but not always broadcasting to the internet, theres a difference from always processing and always broadcasting)

See above. It seems you had to stratch some of your pionts to make your list bigger and some are jsut stupid and or wrong. Some are correct though, like the system is ugly.  X1 will sell just fine and when they make a 'slim' model it will look better i'm sure.

• Controllers use AA batteries (lol) <- this isn't a problem, in fact being interchangable with chargable/AA batteries is better since its more of a choice. especially for people that sit far away and don't want to have to use a wire to stay charged...
• You rent games rather than buy games yet still pay full price <- incorrect, you buy games, and they become apart of your account, thats what DRM is, its a way to manage your licenses.
• You're forced to trade in games to Gamestop <- haven't seen this confirmed any where, they just say retail,
• Can't lend games to friends <- already mentined this as #3, way to fluff your list
• No headset included <- agree
• No accessory backwards compatibility <- i can't find a reason to care about this one,

The system doesn't seem all that bad. Compared to other forms of DRM... the xone doesn't seem all that restricted... even comparing to something like steam. You get the convenience of your digital rights management on top of some flexibility. I love steam, its so stupid easy to downlad games i don't have installed and I never have to keep track of them. xone on the other hand does all that as well as letting me share/give them away, resell them... It only makes it a little hard to wheel and deal on CraigsList but if I can share games with friends then we can all buy different games and never need to resell them.

My only real beef with xbox one is the price. DDR3, a camera, and a lower end GPU cost $500? **** that

I bought it, I payed for it, it's no longer Microsofts. Unless the game uses XBL in some way I shouldn't be required to have an internet connection and MS has no right to tell anybody when they can't play games.

Not everybody is going to hooked up to the internet all the time. Sometimes my ISP goes down for maintenance for two days every couple of months.
