I don't support Jack Thompson at all.. but he has a point about this.

Although I am 15, I don't think kids should be able to walk into the store without a parent and pick up an M rated game. There are ratings for a reason, and if Best Buy, Gamestop, etc. can't inforce them... then there is a problem. The parents are mostly to blaim in these situations. I don't think that video games can severly affect a person negatively, but a 12 year old kid shouldn't be allowed to go pick up Manhunt 2.

I don't like Thompson's attitude, his views, or him AT ALL, but this is a problem. It's the retailers fault and the parents fault, not the video game itself.

I find it interesting though, that he sent his kid to Best Buy. I wonder how many Gamestop's he tried... :rolleyes:
