Yes cows, you knew it was coming. My daily hate on the PS Vita thread. So how about this time, let's just discuss the topic at hand, and not the fact that I post PS Vita news everyday, shall we?
Anyway, the newest in the debacle that is the PS Vita
"In this industry, you can't get too high or too low, because it moves very quickly," says Tretton. "I think there's an acceptable number - and [the number] we've sold: That's acceptable. If it was triple that, I'd be happier. If it was one-third, I'd be disappointed."
"We felt if the tech was there, and the game support was there, then the audience would be there. I feel much better about it now than I did four monthsago."GameIndustry
Honestly, I don't even know what to say to that. I mean, I guess I will, out of sheer (naive) optimism, give him the benefit of the doubt, and assume that in the last four months, Sony has managed to have some new secret game developed for it... but then, that doesn't make any sense in context of what Yoshida, his friggin boss, said yesterday about them having troubles getting third parties to develop for the system.
We'll see soon anyway. I just know, this TGS, Gamescom, and holiday season will be the litmus test for the Vita. Because hell, we all know if it fails by the end of this year, it fails period.
