it's a jump because of Gundam launching today. can't judge just on 1 game since even the 360 had a jump with Blue Dragon. it's the staying power that really matters. sadly even with a 108% jump it's not close to the wii. also looking at the staying power of the games is telling also. the wii games seem to be staying in the top 20 for a while. similar to the ds games.
old.....just kidding,it is good to see the xbox 360 go up,I thought it was going to go back down to the 1,500 a week average again soon,it will sell 1,000,000 before march 2008 there for sure.

Sure, that's very true (about Gundam). But maybe it's the game that kickstarts higher numbers for the PS3 (as in, keeping it above 40k weekly instead of just 20k...sure it's not winning, but it's a significant improvement).

The stories are amazing...Most of the Gundam animes having amazing well written stories that beat most normal shows that come out in the US.....I rater watch a deep story like Gundam any day than a show like Housewives or American Idol....What with us Americans that have to watch crap shows that have no stories?

Madden games aren't broken and buggy as all hell. Beat me too it LOL. Not to mention they probably get multiple Gundam releases every year. Funny. This is probably going to be one of PS3 Top 10 selling games in Japan. And it only pushed it up to 40k LOL.
It really seems like they will only buy in mass from other asian markets...

Because of companies like Square, Capcom and Konami....Most of thier games sell better in Japan than in the US. If 360 does not win Japan or do well in Japan companies like these are going to make games for other systems that target their bigger market PS3 and Wii have both already outsold the 360 in Japan and it had a year startÂ

I will give you that I have only played a couple Gundam games now and they both where bad....I heard the Dreamcast one is good but I have never seen it for sell to pick it up.

Madden isn't a poorly made game. It actually does what it sets out to do, make a good football game.Â
Jesus, has anyone on these forums who trashes madden actually played the damn game in the last few years? The only downside is the constant milking on a yearly basis.Â
The one thing that no one seems to think of is gundam sold roughly 130,000 day one and roughly 30,000 ps3s that same day so to put it in perspective it only sold 40,000 more copies in 6 days and the ps3 only sold 10,000 more in the same 6 days that should tell you all something.

Depends on when certain titles release..its possible, but I doubt it. At the current rate I would take...*quick math* 130 weeks for it to reach 1,000,000 if I'm thinking correctly about the current number in Japan. Additionally such a small jump (12%) over the prior week with it's current sales is miniscule and not really indicative of the system's fortunes improving.

But by then, it might be too little too late. So far all reports points FFXIII as only being 10% complete. It probably won't come out till 2008 at the earliest.
