"The game took the 3rd place at the poll with 196 votes" So which games took first and second place?
and on polls don't you have about 4-5 options, it's not like the voters had a huge list to choose from. If it was 5 options, one being "others", shouldn't 3rd place be considered a minority ?
Think about this. Isn't Famitsu the biggest Gaming News Source in japan? FF 13 just got 196 votes in the biggest news site where alteast a few thousands (maybe even up to a million) visit. Doesn't that mean that they don't want DQ and FF 13 multiplat because they came 3rd and 4th? with so few votes.

[QUOTE="JiveT"]Square said White Engine was multiplatform. EndfinalNo, it isn't. What other system has a Cell processor in it?
White Engine is specific to the Cell proccessor so that means White engine is for PS3.
The person that said it was multiplat was Sakaguchi (dunno how to spell it). He doesnt work foir SE anymore, so he has no idea.

Yes they have, and SE stated it would be used on other games. what has Square enix lincensing UE3 have to do with the White Engine being specific for the cell processor?[QUOTE="ddldave"][QUOTE="DementedDragon"]"you can't always get what you want."Infinateyagreed. You shouldn't make generalizations about things you know nothing about. I am personally looking forward to all the titles you mentioned. I also know a lot of other 360 owners who are.
[QUOTE="trasherhead"]yeah, don't realy see those 2-3 people owning a 360 over there crying to hard to get FF13.:PGundamGuy0
It's more the people with a Wii i would guess.
yes, atm 360 owners in japan is like Duke Nukem Forever was a few years ago. Only rumers:P Oh my funny bone just broke.... damn...It seems Square Canceled the Wii's FF:CC......I wonder if they replaced it with a port of FF13?HarlockJCCanceled the Wii's FF:CC? Where did you get that info?

Bingo. Words right out of my mouth.FF13 on Wii? Is that a joke? If they wanted a FF on Wii they'd need a Wii exclusive version, not an extremely dumbed down FF13.DA_B0MBThey could easily have all of FF13 intact by making it on Wii. Think of what a RPG consists of, FF13 doesn't look to have FF12 gameplay(Or improved) looks like traditional route. Which would be very simple even on the snes.

196 votes in the poll.......................gee that must really temp square to go multiplatform........bigLLLI was thinking the same thing.
"you can't always get what you want."DementedDragonIn this case I think their plea is very plausible
[QUOTE="Zhengi"]FF 14 and remakes of FF7, FF8, and FF9 for the Wii!bc1391Now that you mention it, I can see Square remaking 7-9 this gen.
I just found this article- http://www.gamespot.com/ps/rpg/finalfantasy9/news.html?sid=2679121
Too bad it never happened, I would do anything for a FF9 remake, sequel, spin-off, or anything.
erm don't ever expect it on the Wii but i think it has a small chance of appearing on the 360,or at least some version of the ffX111 series.blacktorn
360 has the worst chance of receiving it , it is last in sales in Japan, being neglected by japanese gamers, and etc...

Because FFXIII can't be ported to Wii due to the difference of system power.
To make it fit for Wii, SquareEnix would have to make the entire game all over, coming up with character models with less polygons and low-res textures etc etc etc and that would most likely cost them the price of making another game.
Also if SE already spent too much time making the game to fit for PS3, discarding that would be idiotic.
[QUOTE="GundamGuy0"][QUOTE="Trading_Zoner"]Too bad that won't happen. FF XIII could never be ported to Wii. And it would not be worth it to port to Xbox 360.Trading_Zoner
Square could alwasy can, FFXIII PS3, and start again on the Wii. ... Not likely but who knows.
FFXIII uses UE3 doesn't it?
can UE3 run on Wii? I don't think so.
And by the time they port it to a lesser engine, change the control scheme, and compress all the cutscenes for Wii so it fits on a DVD everyone who wanted the game will have bought it anyways.
FFXIII uses the White Engine which Square created and its optimized for PS3. UE3 will be used for the games on the 360/PC.Yup, better to put FF 14 and KH3 and DQ on the WiiIt really doesn't matter what they want.

Japanese voters wanting a PS3 game to go multiplatform can only mean they want it also on the Nintendo Wii. It's simple facts and common sense. The Xbox 360 bombed in Japan. The Wii is number one there and like the rest of the world selling out. The PS3 there is way behind it and like the rest of the world can easily be found. Also the PS3 has had several price cuts from time to time in stores and it is still way behind the Nintendo Wii. Voters there wanting a PS3 game to go multiplat can only mean they want it on the Nintendo Wii. Wanting it on the 360 doesn't really enter the equation I think.
Chances of getting a Wii version isn't crazy I think. Depending what is in the game they could just change the engine. They already have working ones from past games they'd just have to modify. With scripted ingame scenes they should be able to do it. Just add more to the Final Fantasy 12 engine and alter the art in the game and they most likely would be in good shape. It would have to be more then one disc though even with it being dual layered. Not due to the game itself but because Square will fill the game with FMVs. Honestly I prefer ingame engine scripted scenes but that might just be me. Those tend to flow better I think.
