I can't really comment on who it the rights to COD belong to because I don;t know what their contract says, but I'd be willing to guess that it belongs to Activision. As much as I dislike Activision, the reality is that they pay money to have the COD games created. Even though IW made the game, I'd guess that COD belongs to Activision. Who owns a house: the person who bought it, or the workers who built it? The person who bought it has the right to the house. The same is true with game publishers. They own the IP.
But I'm getting theoretical. I have no idea what is defined in the contract.
The are after the rights to Mordern Warfare? Well, i wish them luck but i doubt they are going to win.
i wish them well. of all the stupid things activision has done is sabatoge the one series that could actually make them money
I hope Activision dies and developers like Blizzard and Infinity Ward are free again...
BTW how much direct control does Vivendi have over ActivisionBlizzard?
Sellouts VS Money grabbing ****** Nothing to see here folks...I do think its good they are going after their brand, because they own some of the rights to the call of duty brand

Why don't they just get some shotguns and get in a bullet time fight with Robert Kotick and his goons. Cha pangga!
if you have worked on something and been a main factor in creating it you get royalties...Its the same as a band getting royalties for CD sales itds their work they should get a bonus for making it and a share of the profits as it is their work.Im thinking they will be suing on behalf of the workforce aswell who usually get a share of the bonus's.
i got a funny feeling royalties will be in contract if acti aint paid it they will get sued to high heaven and back. Also if this is true companies will be put off from doing buisness with them.
