@topic title. Because its $90 AUD that should not be spent on acessing online play in games you have ALREADY PAID FOR. Simple as that. At least be mindful that you are being ripped off when you renew your subscription fee - instead of convincing yourself you are getting 'value for money'. Because, your not - even if the service is better than PSN. I dont like it when people are ripped off so blatantly, especially gamers. I'll stay vocal about it.skrat_01

for the internet connection and the bandwidth charges! so where is this 50$ going to?

Because it should be free. I pay for my internet and I pay for my game and the content on it, with this I'm being payed extra to access content I've already paid for get, get it? Also its just going to get worse, e.g RE5. Thats an even bigger joke.

If you buy RE5 on the 360 you are getting a worse deal then PS3 owners.

You buy the game. Then Capcom charge you to play online which should have been in the game. Then Microsoft charge you to play online again when you've already been screwed over. So basically, you're paying 3 times to access what you should get when you buy the game. How can anyone accept that.

Sony makes its online profit in its royalties of DLC... so does MS. MS charges a Live Gold fee which should not be there in the first place.

its not how much, its just the fact you must now pay, for something thats already on the disk of the game you bought.

These days, multiplayer gets more attention that singleplayer, so when you must pay to get the majourity of your game, which you payed for... see?

Im not saying XBL is bad, its good, though for me, PSN is better, not cheap better, better better :P

The principle of paying for P2P :|. You essentially pay to "unlock" features already on the game disc you bought. Hopefully they can restructure it in a way to validate its worth for everyone. Now that $50 is going toward another game :).

Personally, I haven't had Live in over a year. There aren't any games on 360 that I wanna play online right now and the foreseeable future. Gears 1 was the only game I played a crap load of...but I've moved on, an ex-Gearhead. This is one of the key reasons I'm getting RE5 on PS3.

and i know people whine about zelda because it cost money :o

Ah good, you got it.

Not paying the $49.99 per year for the last three anda half years has allowed me to save enough money to buy three PS3 games ina rather short time frame. I know own Killzone 2, Street Fighter 4, and LittleBigPlanet. And, you know what? I get to play all of them free online with my free built in bluetooth and my free built-in wireless internet.

Sorry, but I've owned a 360 and it really is a rip-off for what it claims to offer.
