[QUOTE="superjim42"] http://ps3.qj.net/Carmack-Rage-to-look-worse-on-Xbox-360-than-PS3-PC-Mac-versions/pg/49/aid/122805
wow who would have thought? and this is coming from one of the senior/best game developers.
blu-ray has the capacity and so does pc and mac for the game. where as xbox360 will require heavy compression which will comprimise quality.
so what do ppl say now?
so blu-ray still not needed?
or maybe john carmack doesnt matter anymore... :|

By contrast, all of Rage's content will fit onto just one of the high-capacity Blu-Ray discs used by the PlayStation 3. However, Carmack shut down many Sony loyalists' blooming braggadocio by saying that while the Blu-Ray disc is clearly his preferred medium, the 360 is a superior piece of hardware for developers.
So would you agree with John Carmack (one of the senior/best game developers) that the 360 is a superior piece of hardware for gaming deveopers or does he not matter anymore?
The graphic difference might just end up being minor difference.
Untill at least 20% of games require Blu-ray disks then i would say Blu-ray is still not needed yet this gen. There is only a hand full of games that can't be done on one DVD and most of the rest could be done on multiple DVD.
Well, the 360 will soon have an installable feature for the 360, perhaps he can use that? Knowing John Tarmatt, it'll probably take 100M of disk space to install the game. :P
