Lol I've been a 360 owner since 05 and I always just assumed the PS3 had like 10x the JRPGs the 360 had.

Played a bit of Valkyrie, Tales of vesperia, Blue dragon, Lost odessy (forgot that was actually good), Last remenment (terrible) Demon souls ofcourse, White Knight Series (again terrible).

That's about it, guess it's not fair for me to say I only liked Demon Souls seeing as I've only played a few. But I don't really like JRPG's in general, Lost Oddesey was the exception.

PS3 may have 4/10 games like Neptunia and Disgaea copies and strategy games passed as RPGs, but for real JRPGs only 360 has the very best this generation, PS3 has not a single one i care much about

Ni no Kuni may be the first goodo one, though the combat seems terrible so far

Yup, it's pretty obvious that the PS3 has more JRPG's on consoles at this point and more quality JRPG's also once next year hits. It also has the best console JRPG in Valkyria Chronicles. The thing is handhelds have both quality and quantity when it comes to JRPG's this generation. The PSP is leading with the DS right behind it.FlamesOfGrey

Handhelds has more FF games too, if only consoles had that too, PS2 had lots of FF games and many JRPGs from SE in general, this gen not so much sadly heck even Versus is not out yet

Nice list. I just picked up Phantom Brave: We Meet Again on the Wii. I was just browsing the racks of shovelware for the Wii before I came across this gem. It's made by the makers of Disgaea, and has many similarities to it. arkephonic

Nice, i picked it up too from the Fall PSN sale for the PSP, was $9 and is a fun game

Funny how when you lems lose you bring up handhelds :P... PS3 wins.. deal with it but AGAIN as i mentioned both consoles have good line-up. if you own both you'll love playing the JRPGs on both but if you need quality and more games stick to the PS3.

Tales of Vesperia was the ONLY reason I bought a 360.

Yep, JRPG is the only genre PS3 completly dominates 360. It´s also the main reason i prefer 360 over PS3 :twisted:

You should also try Infinit Undiscovery for the 360, dont look at whatever GS gave it in terms of scors, GS worst site for reviews and especially with JRPGs. the game is amazing

You left out Spectral Force 3 and Operation Darkness.

Both platforms have a pathetic offering of jrpgs. Being so desperate as to have to count any jrpg on PS3, like you did just proves the points. The PS2 alone probably has more quality jrpgs than the PS3 and 360 jrpgs has of any quality.

This is anything but a war. Realistically speaking it really doesn't matter.
