[QUOTE="freedomfreak"][QUOTE="lazerface216"]you're the one making the claim that the game is nothing but good voice acting. why don't you explain yourself so i don't have to go "lalalalalalala". because that's what i'm seeing when you post, except there's a "b" in there....lazerface216
It drags. Too many "help Ellie out" situations. Picking up ladders the whole time to continue. More weapons than your average GTA character at your disposal. Insanely slow beginning. Eventless ending. Inconsistent AI.ellies and joel communicating and helping each other out is kinda the whole point of the game, but ok.
there were not that many ladder situations, you're exagerrating.
more weapons than gta? obvious hyperbole, but the thing is, you never really have to use them. plus, play it on hard, nowhere near as much ammo.
i agree with you on the slow beginning.
i LOVED the ending. sad, depressing....just how it should be.
i didn't have many issues with the AI like you claimed to.
so basically, we'll agree to disagree.
I agree that the "help me" situations between Ellie and Joel were important for the story and the game in general. In my opinion, the ladder/I can't swim scenes were also a nice break from the fight scenes (which began to wear on me quickly). The weapon selection was fine, but like you said there was enough flexibility where you did not have to use them all the time.As for the beginning, I do not think it was slow, just very predictable (I am sure I sound like a hipster). Th ending was good, although I had a good idea what would happen. Anyways, you are lucky to not have had many bugs or AI problems during your play through. When my friend and I played through it, the problems were numerous, humorous, and in some cases down right terrible.
