How many games have you bought already?

What do you anticipate to be the first game you buy this year?

Mass Effect 3. Really slow start to the year if you ask me.

Nothing. Was thinking about getting the Darkness 2 but I think I'll pass for awhile. Mass Effect 3 will probably be my first title in 2012.

Absolutely nothing. I'm still playing games from 2011 and older. I did buy Arkham City in 2012, though.

I haven't bought a game this year either yet, but I'm leaning towards mass effect 3 and street fighter x tekken...... problem is that they both drop on the same day and there's no way I get both.

Why do companies do this? I know people will say that the game attracts different crowds but I'm sure I can't be the only person out there who enjoys playing greatgames from all the different genres

It's a Capcom fighter, so you know a Ultimate Street Fighter x Tekken is coming. Skip the fighter for now and get mass effect 3. Not the mention Capcom has day 1 DLC, so it'd be better to wait for an all-in-one package deal if you plan on buying DLC for Street Fighter x Tekken.

SSX, if I don't talk myself into a Vita....

So far this year I've re-purchased Dark Souls (which I sold due to some issues I was having with the online functionality on first go-round which appear to have been remedied), and I've also picked up Nier, 3D Dot Game Heroes, and Skyward Sword. As far as what I'm planning to buy next? Who knows? Best bet is probably either Kingdoms of Amalur or Soul Calibur V.

None, and don't have any on the horizon I'm looking at either.

I don't think I've yet bought a game this year. I did recieve OOT 3D as a birthday gift, though.

And Catherine, just got released in Europe. I've yet to start playing it though.

FF13-2, Kingdoms of Amalur and already bought/preordered ME3.

I bought Skyrim and Dead Island.

I alpha funded Xenonauts, and bought Rise of Nations and Persona 3 Portable. None of which came out this year.

First game i bought has been the Jak and Daxter collection

a series i never played before, just started it a few hours ago, I am enjoying it surprisingly enough.

but February and March is going to be very expensive for me, luckily i got the income and i saved up quite a bit:

PS Vita (Wifi model) + 32 gb memory + PS Vita carry case + Uncharted : Golden Abyss + Gravity Rush (gonna try to do a PSN account switcheroo on my same account by changing my country location see if that works... maybe dunno researching this to see if it does)

but i suspect all those games after Mass Effect 3 lands won't be out for a few months and i definently have the big back catalog to go through. I'm also one of the types that likes to go for trophies in games that i love. I still need to go back and revisit Uncharted 3, Batman Arkham City, and Skyrim.

I haven't bought any games this year but the next game i'm getting is Max Payne 3.

I dont know why but its been like that for a while now. It is anoying.

iv bought ff13-2 and SC5. Next buys are binary domain and me3.

Games i have bought this year... well the only games i have gotten were all discounted titles on PSN; FF Disidia Duodecim, FFV (free with PS+), FF Tactics war of the lions, Oddworld: Strangers Wrath HD, back to the future the game (free with PS+). Next games i get will either be anything free on PS+ before the launch of the Vita and thenn I'll be buying a bunch of Vita titles.

Edit: I just remembered... I got portal 2 for PS3/PC also =)

Just RDR so far. I might get either Crysis 2 or Vanquish next week.

I haven't bought any new games this year, if that's what you mean. I did pick up Arkham City, Saint's Row The Third and Anno 2070 during January, however. I have already pre-ordered Mass Effect 3, and don't really see anything I want between now and when that releases.

Was going to buy Kingdoms of Amalur and Darkness 2, but opted to spend my money on a Galaxy Tab instead. So I guess the first game I buy this year will be Mass Effect 3 next month.
