A 9.0? Its a good game, but its majorly flawed. I'll say its probably one of the best console games graphically though. But once you get about half way, it all starts to feel like a rushed mess. Camera works against you when you need it most, being able to shoot through walls sometimes, but not others, getting stuck and drake starts to twitch and you can't control anything, and then you got that dredded far cry/crysis twist nearly the end of the game.

Worst of all. While it copies the cover system found in mgs2,kill.switch,gears, it doesn't let you choose if you crouch or not while in cover. That really affected gameplay majorly.

hazuki

Wait, wait, you couldn't crotch in Gears of War either and Gears copied Kill.switch. Like I said, I've never encountered any of those problems so maybe you should check out that disc and maybe replace it.

Yeah, Gamespot never did have good reviews atleast with PS3 games...there always seems to be a biasness.True-Legend86

8.0 is dead on for me.

Cool game but it just did not grab me at all. I rarely trade in games but I have already traded this one in.

Still a good to great game but for me its just plain shrug my shoulders.

Did you not even fricken play gears of war? When you get into cover, you can choose if you crouch or not *unless the cover is lying on the ground, then you stay crouched. But why wouldn't you?* In uncharted, you can't.

Now actually crouching, you can't really do that. But in gears, even if you could, you probably never would use it since you're out in the open moving slower.

And if you want to get technical, do you remember a game called winback on the n64 and ps2? It employed the same cover system used in kill.switch. So gears didn't copy it. Not sure if winback was first to use it though.

Ah, that's what you meant but still, I don't see the point in crotching, even when you're in cover.

Put it this way. Your in cover, then you expose yourself to shoot, when your not crouched- your a much bigger target to hit. And then, when your say on a piller and not crouched, theres more places a person can hit you from an angle, than if you was crouched.

Yeah Assassin's Creed is also heavily flawed and it got a 9.0...The camera went nuts a few times on me, but when i stopped moving and adjusted I was ok...never experienced any of the other problems you had.

Is there a Southpaw setting for a lefty like myself?SmokieX
you can change which shoulder you look over, and sometimes (based on where your standing, and obstacles nearby) it automatically switches you to a specific arm. While there are time where I can get a better target looking over the left than the right, and vice versa, it pretty much feels natural regardless of which side I'm on.

I really like Uncharted, but it has that "bad guys fill linear area, kill 'em all" cliched way to battles. Kinda like Stranglehold.

8.9 critic score and 8.9 user scores beg to differ. So does Gamerankings (88.8%). Try again?

Yeah I suppose, but the bad guys have resources and can get waves of troops..and once you get the semi auto 9mm and the M4, the gun battles get real fun.

Wtf are you talking about it "affects it majorly"? You crouch behind low walls, you don't crouch behind high walls. It NEVER affects gameplay the slightest bit. You are always behind cover when you need to be. Why the hell would you need to crouch behind a 10 foot wall? That affected your gameplay experience "majorly"?

Uncharted is an amazing game, I've played through it 2.5 times now and and haven't experienced any of this camera freaking out stuff that you guys seem to have experienced. STRANGE ISN'T IT.

It's not really a bad thing, but it's not exactly great, either. I'm still loving it, though. Amazing game.

Yes... highly underated at GS. Uncharted is when Hollywood meets the gaming world in a good way.

9.0 no less, no higher.

What's wrong with linear games? A game that tells a story like this one should be as linear as it is. Still, the enemies will throw you a curveball by charging at you when they know you're out of ammo, flanking from different sides...

Stranglehold feels like a shooting gallery. Enemy pops out of a window, shoot him. Enemy pops out from behind a meat cart. Shoot him.

It feels as linear as most shooters or platformers, but not as bad as Stranglehold by any means.

I can understand where you're coming from, but what kind of alternatives do you suggest? Enemies popping up when you're platforming would totally ruin a lot of those parts. I think the scripted nature of it is what makes it so cohesive. Same as the COD4 campaign.

WRONG! GS tied for the lowest score on the web for Uncharted.
