If you have a new HDTV and want to get the most out of it go PS3.

Also PS3 just does more than games and movies, it's made for your HDTV. PS3 also lets you keep your videos, pictures and surf the web all in HD resolution and it all looks fantastic. You can even run Linux on your TV. I have everything on my PS3. I've ditched my CD changer and my DVD player. All I use is PS3 and my receiver.

Keep in mind there is no Blu-ray option planned for X360 at this time. A big MS screwup in my opinion.

1. PC's do that and you can stream them to your console, wether that be a PS3 or a 360.

2. Why the hell would you keep everything on your PS3 when all of that crap can be kept on your PC and streamed through your PS3?

Like I said X360 is a glorifed remote control. Also for a variety of reasons. Do I want to fire up my PC and console everytime I want to play my content? No.. Let's say I'm on a trip and I want to listen to my music or show someone my pictures I can remotely turn on my PS3 with my PSP and have access to all my content. We know that's not possible on X360 because Zune sucks, but if it was you still couldn't access any of your content unless your left your PC on before you left.

Also just speed.. going over the network is always going to be a lot slower than having it right there on the system.

It just makes sense for PS3 to do this kind've content. I never listened to my mp3s on my PC because of the little PC speakers, but PS3 is connected to my home audio system so now I listen to them almost everyday. Showing off your pictures to friends and family makes sense on my TV. Never happened on my PC. Those are some examples along with what I posted above previously.

You actually turn off your PC? WTF...

This isn't about the PSP > PS3 connectivity, but I understand your reasoning, even though it doesn't really make much sense. BTW, the Zune doesn't suck, it just lacks the appeal iPods have.

And again, you can do all of that by streaming it to your PS3. Any real PC enthusiast knows you don't turn your PC off.

I know I love my 80GB Ipod. I turn my PC off. Whats the point in keeping it on if you aren't going to be using it for hours.

You set your PC on a schedule to do tasks while you're away and automatically update instead of having to do it manually, that way its done and you don't have to bother doing it yourself.

both if possible

you say you want to maximise its potential, only the ps3 can offer than on 90% of its games.

it has blu ray movies too, nice bonus

and the 360 has the overall better library, but not as high of reilution on games.

If you enjoy spending hours on the phone with customer support, days without a system, being milked for every other thing I'd recommend getting a Xbox. But please learn from my mistakes and get a PS3.

Unless u get the 360 for free, I'd say PS3 for Blu-ray.tekmojo

what he said. 360 graphics are awesome! so are PS3's but now with HD DVD dead, if you want the best of both worlds gaming and movies. i'd advise you to get a PS3 also.

I two consoles are slowly starting to line up in terms of game quality so it's a tough decision. Personally, I have a 360 and am definately getting a PS3 for the Fall season. Think about what you'll have in the fall with both systems (Banjo, Alan Wake, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, etc.)
